In this video, I document the process of the discovery of a brand new nebula, FalFer1: The Pistachio Nebula. This is a previously undiscovered nebula in the constellation Circinus that I discovered with my friend Chester Hall-Fernandez by using nothing but camera lenses, and consumer-grade telescope gear. World-class dark skies definitely did help the process though! This discovery is only the first in a series of discoveries Chester and I have made, the next one we will cover is the insane lightning bolt nebula.
I hope you enjoy this video!
