Reposting what I said in the full podcast vid since it's more relevant here: I think Asinga took Modulators/SARMs 100%, but I think don't he should be banned for 4 years (or at all imo). As someone who read the Asinga case: there's a lot of misconceptions people don't understand cause they probably only read Asinga's/his lawyer's statements: - The supposed "corrupt" batch they're from were produced the exact same day other other gummies were produced that didn't test positive for anything. These two batches could not be have been produced at different times because the amount of time to clean in between would be unreasonable and effectively impossible. Otherwise, other batches would have tested possible - The amount of GW1516 on the "contaminated" batch is not consistent with what actual contamination looks like. There was a disproportionate amount on the outside, and the amount of GW1516 on the batch that Asinga almost consumed entirely had a hilarious amount on it compared to a batch he barely consumed. - Paul Greene (Asinga's lawyer) is known to come up with unnecessarily convoluted/bogus reasons for athletes failing drug tests. He recently represented Shelby Houlihan a few years back with the "burritogate" scenario, which to this day is one of the most embarrassing cases to come out of the sport. He also went on camera lying about how Nandrolone doesn't do anything for a distance runner when it literally helps with blood-building/recovery and it one of the most common anabolics athletes get caught taking for distance running. He's known to draw false equivalencies to try and support his arguments instead of using more concrete/sound logic. - He didn't test for a "tiny amount". First off, athletes microdose, which means they aren't taking NFL-tier cycles, because they need to bypass the Biological passport system or to evade testing for a specific substance. Secondly, the endocrine system is extremely sensitive, so saying 0.00005 or w.e. number is "small" is misleading at best and is often used to manipulate people that don't know anything about PED's. Paul Greene has used this exact bogus logic before for other athletes he's tried to bail out, including the Shelby case, of course. - Do we really have to question whether or not a high schooler can run 9.8x natty lmfao (or anyone for that matter). Conspiratorially speaking, he was either target-tested (which imo happened to Sha'Carri conveniently before the Olympics for weed), or more realistically, he just got too cocky with his dosages with his modulators. - Not only is it a sad cultural reality that thousands of teenagers are taking SARMs/Modulators, but the incentive to dope as a talented high-schooler in any sport has an insane ROI given how little they test and how much money you can make from contracts/scholarships early on. They were probably given to him by a coach that has knowledge on stuff like that, which is sad because kids that young should NOT be getting involved with altering their horomones that early, but to say it's uncommon at that level would be underselling it unfortunately Very sad situation overall. I think he took stuff for sure, but I don't think he should be banned. Would have loved to see him at the Olympics because he's easily the most talented 100m runner we've seen in the last decade or so.

It's a first-time offense. He is young 18, and he relies on his coaches to make sure his supplements are legal. Even if they say he is responsible and should have known better, he is 18 yrs old, He trusted his coaches, all the people around him they are more responsible for his well-being to make sure he is good with what's going into Asinga bodies. Again, he was young, and it's a first offense. This was too harsh, giving him 4 years of a ban.

4 years is too much... Maybe 1 year would be good enough

Probably did it to him to distract from the BIG names that are really knowingly using PIDs but if they get caught it would ruin the sport. He’s a scape goat he’s a distraction just to say they are “regulating” the sport. I call BS

It’s obvious that whatever punishments have been handed down to various parties, those punishments are neither a deterrent nor a guarantee of compliance! It’s time for some reconsiderations and some outcomes that give win/win a chance!

A law suit is likely to be thrown out. If the gummy had the "informed Sport / Informed Choice stamp, there is likely not a snowballs chance in hell of succeeding.
Bro has zero chance against a company that big… companies like that have literally committed atrocities across the world to save money on production and dodged accountability. I doubt their team of lawyers will get beat by a highschooler and his lawyer.

He had to be banned but his coaches are the ones who should have got 4 years. 2 years is enough for the young man himself.

His case hasn’t even been closed yet. They still need to complete a thorough investigation and get Gatorade to explain why their supplements were contaminated and discontinued

So, because he used PED's 20 years ago, he has to shut up forever? Can't have a podcast? Can't share his insights from his days of being an elite runner? You sound ridiculous. If YOU don't want to hear from him, then keep scrolling. I'm coming back everyday to listen.
