I have had a similar experience with my ex husband who is chronically ill. My good sis needs to look into applying for social security disability benefits for her children. It is a supplement to what their father would contribute to the household if he were still working. It’s not a lot, but it’s been extremely helpful in ensuring the mortgage is paid. My heart goes out to her.

I relate to the second letter. My husband and I got married sooner due to extraneous circumstances and we thought we knew each other but real life is different than sitting and talking all night. My advice would be to learn to communicate in a mature way, give each other grace and look forward to the future.

Glen always made magic in the kitchen. I remember those cooking segments from back in the day. Glen , if cooking is your thing for you then keep it just for you. Nothing wrong with that. Blessings

You know what I truly enjoy about this podcast? I enjoy the HMAY ending segment. I am 28 yrs married and would love to start this. My hubs and I are pretty close to becoming empty nesters and will finally be able to take spontaneous trips, go out on random dates, etc. Keep up the good work!!!❤❤

She can get her husband a PCA/Home Health aid worker. I would assume since he's disabled now he qualifies for medical assistance or some other type of program that can help assist her in that manner. Aside from that, maybe she should just let him go to the nursing home and she finds a second job. She didn't mention anything about her own family, can she not rely on them for childcare? Maybe she needs to go the ol school way and reach out to a neighbor with a teenager who can help babysit for a small fee. With cameras in the home of course. Her 2nd job could be remote. I know that's easier said than done but she has to start looking and exploring her options.

The thing about marrying to share insurance plans/benefits, or tax benefits might not be a thing in USA but its a whole thing in Germany! The ppl there are so practical its a common joke there. I saw this courtesy of Uyen Ninh

My two kids had eczema and their doctor said to use vegetable shortening after bathing to seal in moisture. It has no chemicals or perfumes in it and it's cheaper.😊
