Old and now outdated. You protect her because nature played a nasty trick on us men to think they're important. Women can be, and often are, brain dead and not be worth any less. Hurry the artificial wombs up so we can be done with all that mental instability and just dead weight or even counter productivety they bring.

During a crisis, nobody calls a feminist.
@misspriss2482
@misspriss2482 Жыл бұрын
Yeah. That makes no sense. A feminist is someone who believes in equal opportunity for all or who believes that everyone has a right to choose their own path. This 3rd wave feminist mess that's going on right now is not real feminism. It's misandry.

@@misspriss2482 I don't think I've seen, in real life, a single women stand up against misandry. The only exception was my mother one time. My mom is chief engineer or the largest construction company in my country. One time, when our family were all driving together home from a family Christmas dinner, she remarked how this one particular younger female colleague always complained how she's held down by her male peers. My mom, 65, puzzled how that had never happened to her. She remarked how all her male colleagues had treated her fairly. That's the only time, and I'll never forget. Everyone else goes along. 🤔

They want(need) the majority of men to stay in there gender role. But they want the freedom of whatever they want to do. The show verbal praise to men who act feminine but show show physical praise to men who act like men. This is the “double speak” they use to play their side.

@@misspriss2482 women have equal opportunity. Women only want equality when it comes to things they benefit from. They aren't fighting for equality when it comes to prison sentences(women get lighter sentences for the exact same crime). Women don't want equality when it comes to child custody cases(women win custody over 90% of the time). Women don't want to be equal when it comes to working as much as a man(men work on average 10% more hours per week and take fewer sick and vacation days). Women don't want to be forced to sign of for Selective Service like a man. Women don't want to work all of the difficult jobs a man does but want to earn the same income.

I grew up fatherless. I was going for a walk with a guy I was dating. After getting out of an abusive relationship. I was used to being a Mother Duck with children. Without noticing I was trying to move him away from the road with my body language. Like a mother duck. We were crossing a bridge with a narrow walkway and I'd automatically taken the side closest to the road. It was early days and he didn't want to 'dominate' me, knowing a bit of my history. He didn't last long before gently taking my shoulders and saying 'sorry, I can't, I just can't handle this' and moving himself onto the traffic side and me away from it. I got all choked up and tears welled up. (I'm not a public crier at all). Later I couldn't stop talking about it with him.. And later with the girls (female friends)... I felt so vulnerable... In a good way. I didn't realise how much I longed for that until it happened. I felt cared for and protected. I felt enabled in my femininity around him. I could relax and not be a dragon, I could just be. It was really touching. It was also an important part of my healing journey.

My husband and I both "protect" each other. In different ways sometimes. I taught him to be more aware of his surroundings and how to read a place or group of people (over the road trucking for 3 + decades) because he is not a cynical man by nature and im an ex counselor and criminal justice career kind of tough broad. But BUT there is a reason I gravitated towards a 6'3" 230 lb man. He makes ME feel safe. He protects ME in reality, not just "how to read a situation" for self preservation , but the actual actions of protection in real time.

My fiancee would protect me at all times, because he just loves me and he'd rather get hurt than losing me. But he also knows I'm perfectly capable of protecting myself. We also teach our oldest (6yo) to protect anyone who is in need, not just the girls, but also his other friends. My first instinct was to protect my bf and first thing I did was to jump in front of him. Not sure if it was right or wrong or if he would have had the chance and hid behind me it would have been different. I would do the same for absolutely every single person in my family. In a physical confrontation where the instigator is another man, it should be the man that defends the woman, because he is more likely to be able to fight the other man. If he allowed his female partner to fight the man in his stead, or even if they double teamed him, it’s more likely the woman will get seriously hurt, and it’s an unnecessary risk for her. It’s quite simple really, I would never expect my girlfriend to physically fight a thief or mugger. Now when it comes to other areas, gender roles aren’t as important like there’s nothing wrong with the woman being the breadwinner, or the man cooking meals, but let’s be real when it comes down to it men are expected to protect the women they love.

This reminds me of the recent overwhelming pride I felt a few weeks ago. I have 5 children, 4 boys & 1 girl. I have always positioned my children on the inside and myself closest to traffic. Recently I noticed 16yo son has begun positioning himself in that “protective” spot; and while there have been times I have to fight w/myself over “my baby growing up”, this time, I realized that it was ok. It made me proud to see that natural transition that a young man goes through from mom protecting her babies to a young man protecting his mom. It then dawned on me that they learned this from their step-father and me. When he is not with us, I protect them but, when he is with us, I automatically step back and he takes that place.

The men where out on campaign, when the city was besieged. What appears to be their own heroic initiative, the women put on male clothes (armour) and held the fort. Everyone knew back then that the alternative was certain death for their loved ones, and so they fought, triumphed and was rewarded.

I said I did it because I have to, but do not forget that I am terrified when I have to do these things because I am not a man and I know that , being a woman will make me vulnerable or unable to handle a confrontation physically. No, that's confusion... Unless you're both telepathic or you've trained together for many hours on how to react in this scenario, you'd be making the situation much worse, and infinitely more difficult and dangerous for him. In an extreme situation there must be a clear chain of command. In an assault scenario the "boss" should be the more physically dominant one - if that's the woman, more power to her, but it usually isn't. In this situation the woman needs to be quiet and listen immediately. If she has a chance to think for herself it should be about getting herself to safety. Then her man can worry about saving himself instead of sacrificing himself to save her. Wanting to be "in on the action" and to "have a voice" in these times is selfish and terribly inconsiderate towards someone who might just lay down his life for you.

To your point, my partner & I have a partnership where, on certain things, we do practice traditional roles, but have flipped the scenario that you just described on its head. In the event of an intruder/attacker (which we have practiced this), as he has more extensive knowledge from military training in self-defense than I do, I will step first in the situation to (with my minimal experience he has bestowed) as a distraction or shield so that he may step in to incapacitate the assailant, if I am unable to subdue them. Even if I am the most likely to be injured or perish from the event, I have the peace of mind knowing that my partner will be the most likely to save my life, if possible, or assist in my recovery. These are our intentional processes to ensure that the stronger of us can ensure that we both survive the situation. It may be illogical to some and I'm not at all recommending that others subscribe to it, unless women are prepared to assume that role and throw themselves in front of the situation, what I am simply hoping to point out is that there is a way that gender roles can be balanced even in that situation which you described calls for it. In our process, we are both participating in the assurance of our survival and wellbeing. I'd also like to point out, this was my original strategic idea when we first began to develop it, not his and I am pretty proud of that.

This fella used his only arm & hand to think of me to open the door, and to put me first; and he would use his only arm and hand to use that pew-pew to protect me and the other ppl around us. It was all I could not to squeeze that man! ❤ As I left the store I noticed his truck; he was a volunteer firefighter, too. You could have knocked me over with a feather! I had witnessed the behavior of a real man! ❤❤❤❤

The gun should be on your man. 1. The police usually holds a shooter (even if justified) for a few hours. Why would you want to do that when can do it for you? 2. If you don't kill the assailant with the first shot, the assailant can return fire. You'd be hit first. 3. If the assailant is part of a gang or organization, his buddies WILL seek revenge. They'd be looking for YOU

@@chess-is-king ...all of those the remain true regardless of which genitals are in your pants. This is where my comment should stop, as my original comment was quite clearly a joke and the fact you didn't seem to note or notice that implies you were either answering in bad faith to stir up some shit or are waaay to emotionally invested in a shitty comment to a, frankly, rather disingenuous KZfaq short. But in the spirit of the comment given. _let's dig in._ If you _want_ to bring real world sexism into my joke comment then I would argue the woman shooting in self defense would probably have less time lost in police questioning and less chance of retaliation as a gang member 'losing to a woman' would be more likely to be seen on a failure on his part. Assuming a case of self defense would ever see retaliation. And that the mugger was affiliated with a gang in the first place. Both a which are pretty hard asks. If we are making up hypotheticals why not 'the mugger is a sadistic bastard and upon seeing that the man wants to protect the woman goes out of his way to shoot her'? But while we are here, let's look at the implied motivations of your comment. You see, the original question in the video is flawed because the premise of 'would you be more attracted to your romantic partner if they sacrificed themselves for you or went out of their way to endanger you instead?' should have universally one response. (Ignoring the snowflakes who whine about emasculation.) Your corrections given from the prospective of why it's important to offload the negative results onto your partner imply that you are firmly in the 'push your loved one in front of you' train of thought. Even if the danger is a few hours of hassle which just seems needlessly petty.

And on and on they went about how women wanted to have equal rights so blah blah blah. I was a bit in shock being a Southerner and this was Idaho, but I was like OK well women will get the bragging rights then. We got a trap and caught us a critter. What? When did she say ftp? You just created a link thats non existant. And this is a stupid question anyway. If you walking in a parkinglot n someone jumps out with a knife, whats he doing? Is he attacking you? Her? Is he just yelling? This isnt a movie. You dont just throw yourself in front of her. You instantly communicate with the guy. Figure out whats going on with him. If hes robbing you, and youre not armed, you still dont jump in front of her. You simply hand him the wallet to avoid the 2 of you being attacked. Then you handle it later. Guy thinks hes gonna jump in front of the wife and battle the guy with the knife so he stabs you then her. Yea put her in a worse situation. I love these comic book scenarios that srent a thing. I think to say this equates to "moving backwards" is a fallacy. It's not wrong, but it is a weak reason to defend gender roles. People will instinctively navigate scenarios. Life isn't black and white. The police may enforce a system of legal slavery and oppression, but they are still the best system for dealing with a homicidal break-in. The only thing wrong with that is the police haven't changed, not the person calling them. And like ive said, the scenario in this video is unrealistic. Maybe in movies and video games the girl screams and gets behind her white knight, but IRL they will both fight for their lives if necessary. Primitive instincts in this case are more successful, more fair, and more progressive in this case than chivalry, which is an antiquated system that legitimized rape and has nothing to do with protecting women, so much as it is a system defining the rules for their exploitation.
