The buses in Seattle don’t have “poles hanging from wires”, LOL! The poles are on the roof of the bus and are raised from the bus to come in contact with the overhead wires. Those are called “trolley buses” or “trackless trolleys”. They are powered by electricity from the overhead wires. They were more prominent before the 1960’s, but they are still running in Seattle, San Francisco, Dayton, Ohio, Philadelphia, and Boston. As well as in many cities in Europe…

Uh, so the Black Diamond Bakery they mention is in the town of Black Diamond, about a 40-minute drive east of Seattle. Unless there's another Black Diamond Bakery in the Seattle city limits that doesn't appear on the first couple of pages of Google, you should be aware this isn't in the city. It sounds awesome, but it's a bit of a trek just for breakfast if you aren't already in the area.

West Seattle where I am from go to Husky Deli I grew up going there to get groceries ice cream sandwiches….and worked there long time ago best homemade ice cream try black licorice so good amazing sandwiches!

HLJF In Seattle! Dick’s is very good. Yes. Check out Red Mill Burgers, Ivar’s, Top Pot Donuts and many other places. The Buses with the poles on the wires are known as Trolleybuses, another old term is Trackless Trolley.

The closest Dick's ever got to In N Out is when Gormly owned the one in Kent. There is no comparison. The Best Burger in Seattle is at Zippy's Giant Burgers.

@@pnwpaths2925 Dick's Deluxe can be good but, it really depends if you get a fresh one and not one that has been sitting in the bin for hours. My recomendation for Zippy's is getting the "Great Dane w/Bacon". Best Onion Rings are at Scooters in Ballard.

Fun thing to do is get cheeseburgers not deluxe from Dicks. Freeze them and then flip them upside down for 1 and 1/2 minute in microwave so good to refresh it.

If you guys like Dick’s you should check out All American Drive In in Merrick, on Long Island. Get either a quarter pounder with cheese or a double double, fries, and a shake.

Looked like Sunrise at Rainier and not Paradise. Going to Paradise you would have passed my backyard in Eatonville . The back is a mowed 4 acres with 5 Black German Shepperds. Unless prices changed a Special & Fries was under $5.

I love in Washington and now the homeless problem is out of control and I can’t go to China town because there have been like 39 shootings 😢wish they wouldn’t of decriminalized drugs for the homeless because they literally have 3 story box/pallet buildings for homes and the crime rate is getting scary. Can’t even visit seattle anymore it’s so bad

I miss Seattle from back in the day, now there are so many homeless, druggies, and so much crime. I really hope we can get the city back. I live 35 mins south of Seattle, and have been in Seattle two times in the past 10 years. Next time you are down here, come to Tacoma and try out Frisko Freeze, a very iconic grease burger spot. There is also a place called the Red Hot that makes crazy good hotdogs. For pizza, try out The Cloverleaf Tavern, guaranteed you will never have a pizza like it anywhere else in the world.

Spent a bit of time in Seattle couple of decades ago. Fell in love with the city. You could not pay me to go there now...left wing politicians, which led to the homeless, druggies and high crime. Have a couple of friends who stayed for a time, but are now moving back to a civilized part of the country.
