Whilst I find these fascinating, my biggest fear is now this gorgeous mansion will be tracked down and visited be undesirables and vandals and trashed. The flies are cluster flies and build up in a matter of days. I know as I have worked in private houses like this and clean them up daily. Would love to see security stepped up now. 👍

@@VacantHaven I’m aware that you obviously love your hobby but have you ever considered just how lucky you have been so far? If anything happens to this property YOU WILL BE DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. By putting this particular property on KZfaq Channel, you have just invited every ner- do-well into the front door! This property obviously has an owner & I hope that you got permission to enter or you have been trespassing the whole time you are on the property! I would suggest that you find out WHO OWNS THIS GRAND HOUSE & inform them of what you’ve found! This is or rather was NOT AN HOTEL!!!!!!! Be very careful with everything that you’ve touched because every time that you touch anything the sweat on your hands will increase the degrading of every item. Please be careful with everything that you Touch & see & DO NOT EVER TELL ANYONE ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE FOUND . Also NEVER put on or try anything electrical as almost ALL OF THE CABLES will be old & unstable. You could leave a fire 🔥 smouldering in the wiring absolutely anywhere in that massive house & the whole lot could be burned down because you have not thought about anything but looking into other peoples lives. Please be careful guys!

I’ve just recently found your channel and I love it! I grew up in the country (Devon) and growing up, entertainment was rambling around and discovering ruins etc. It was normal for my friends and I to stumble upon an abandoned Manor House. This is perfect chill-out watching. I feel sorry for the scaredy-cats with so much time on their hands to write essays on why they think you’re wrong for doing what you do. It’s enlightening to highlight the breadth of huge properties and land that get neglected.

It doesn't look neglected ,nor abandoned ,maybe closed as what was once operating as an hotel , closed less than a year back ( hotel ) !!! That is not a definition of abandoned by any stretch of the imagination .. Discovering ruins and illegal trespass ,very different ..

This house does not look abandoned. I would have to think it is a residence at some point of the year. No one would leave a current home in that condition. It looks staged for either resale or simply waiting for the owners to visit. But it is amazing......Maybe someone should Jacob Rees Mogg who Caspar was!!
@WayneFoxUK
@WayneFoxUK 2 жыл бұрын
I think exploring old buildings is interesting, but this wasn't abandoned at all, it's probably got foreign owners, and someone that stays there for security. I think there's a fine line between walking around an old ruin, or entering someones home. How would you feel if someone was randomly walking around your house, laying on your bed etc, because you forgot to lock a door when you went on holiday, or down to the shop. It also encourages people to break into buildings like this. If a place is like this, why not find out who the owners are, and just ask them if you can look around. Most like to show off their home when it's like this. It's part of the joy of owning such a building, that they can show others that they own it - especially with foreign owners

I can't imagine being a cleaner in that place and having to lug cleaning equipment and a vacuum up and down all those stairs. So much to look at! I hope they plan to re-open this place now that the worst of the restrictions have been lifted because it would be a shame to let it sit and decay.

Lovely place. - i kept wondering what you would have said if someone had come into the property? How odd that towels were left crumpled on the floor - dead crows and flies but the towels were not mouldy?

very interesting, but I think they have cleaner, security or maintenance people around. or maybe they pop up for the weekend. that first dining room with all the crockery on the table looks to be like they are doing some sort of inventory.

That was beautiful and very intact considering nobody’s been around for awhile? That’s debatable actually. Some places looked like there was someone there last night. Dead crows and dead flies no good omens though. Thanks , nice to see this video guys. You guys rock!

Talk about a class system. There are people who own and live - probably only part time - in mansions like this. Then there are the rest of us who aren’t even supposed to see what the inside is looks like.

What a glorious old estate. Obvious wealthy resided here before it was turned into a hotel. The back skinny stairs were for the servants to use in days gone by. And that kitchen in the ‘basement’ was the servants eating quarters. Those magnificent stone floors and you didn’t even mention or observe. Seems to me this was once a Royal estate or a family of very high stature.

At around 34:36 you can see some passes in the hall as you look towards the door, so someone else is there taking care of the place. Still a very nice video.
