The best part of the film is, without a doubt, the chemistry between Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh, who fight and make up with the intensity of real siblings.

Your prediction skills aren't that good to predict that far ahead in time... If y'all want bad movies to stop being made then stop going to the theater and MAKE them lose money... This is the movie where Scarlett Johansson became a pioneer of what's happening right now with the Writers/Actors strike. At the time of release, we had been hit with the pandemic and for some reason, Disney decided to do a simultaneous theater and Disney+ release, and Johansson's contract only considered box office sales (because no one ever considered being in lockdown for almost 2 years). She apparently was going to get zero dollars for streaming revenue, which is the reason why she sued Disney/Marvel. In hind-sight this was the beginning of what the actors are fighting for at this very moment, when some people gave Scarlett Johansson some bad press!

The bad press that Scarlett Johansson was getting for suing Disney/Marvel as a result of the simultaneous theater and Disney+ release was unwarranted and one of the big reasons why this movie did not have as much acceptance as it should have (combine that with the pandemic and a late release). We can now see she was the pioneer of what the Writer/Actor strike going on now is all about: streaming revenue (and protections against AI content, image likeness, voice, etc.)

I definitely like this movie. I don’t know why it got so much hate…my only issue was with how unrealistic some of the fight scenes were lol. But the villain really resonated with me- someone who takes away young, “unwanted” girls and turns them into assassins through absolutely brutal means. Dreykov saying that women are “trash”…unfortunately a lot of cultures still see women that way, especially in ones where “honor killings” still exist. And I feel like it’s an extreme version of sexism that still exists, and I’m glad they brought it up because that point really hit a chord with me.

People say this film is bad because they compare it (AND EVERY OTHER PROJECT) to Endgame. At worst, you can say this film is “mediocre,” when compared to other projects. Mind you though, this is a Black Widow project; a human assassin with NO super abilities. It’s not gonna be crazy & “out there” like an Avenger film or Spider-Man film.
@IDyce88
@IDyce88 8 ай бұрын
yeah but that comparison is irrelevant...what is important is what we LEARN from this film: the backstory of Natasha and her "family", Yelena, the Red Guardian...they all have stories of their own to tell. Also this film get's HUGE points for using "Smell's Like Teen Spirit" in it's opening and having some really dark and tragic opening cinematics...we all know the story of Natasha and her Sister being trained as assassins and how they suffered...but the opening showed us the steps they went through...it was awful and sick. The story of the Red Room and Black Widow is just as important as Black Panther's story...or Captain America's story...or Iron Man's Story...but no fans are like "meh...it's boring." Well i say fans are just childish...by the time Black Widow came out they had come to expect too much from TV or Film MCU...they want every production to be mind blowing like Endgame...well that isn't how it works...not for me or purists...what matters is capturing the characters right.

The one thing I always tell people when it comes to marvel movies with the reviews that a lot of people don't think about. Is most of the mixed reviews usually come because a lot of people watch these movies out of Order and don't know what's going on. So you always gotta take that into account. Most of these movies fit exactly where marvel is going people just don't watch them the way you're supposed to so a lot of times it's confusion more than the movie not being good.

The antagonist was just poorly written. But I enjoy this movie enough to have watched it 20 ish times (excluding reactions). Admittedly, breaking your own nose is fucking badass. Literally everything Natasha does is fucking badass. Olga is so goddamn pretty it's not even funny. I find it funny though, that they used her... because she's 5 years older than scarjo... who was supposed to have killed her like... 18 years ago. God she's such a good actor though. I can't wait for more Yelena. I LOVE Florence Pugh. It just sucks, because the chemistry between her and ScarJo was amazing

Do you realize, Dreycov's daughter (Taskmaster) mimicking Winter Soldier (knife fight), Hawkeye and many more? One more thing, if you guys watch this before Infinity War just like some of your followers have suggested, you're all will be spoilt with Natasha's death in the after credit scene. So I suggest you guys just watch the MCU's movies/series in their released order.

Honestly, whenever someone says MCU phase 4 is trash, I look at No Way Home, Shang-Chi, Wakanda Forever and Loki Season 1 Like, it certainly wasn’t perfect, but neither was Phase 1-3. I really don’t think Phase 4 deserves the hate that it got. There wasn’t a single release that I didn’t enjoy Not every MCU movie needs to be as good as Infinity War/Endgame. Those were a two-part finale of 11 years worth of Infinity Saga movies. That kind of quality should be expected from Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars, not She-Hulk or WandaVision

The name you're trying to remember is General "Thunderbolt" Ross. The evil military man who wants all enhanced under his thumb so he can use them anyway he wants. His daughter, Betty Ross, was Banner's love interest. General Ross hounded Bruce in the comic books and in the Hulk movie. And he's the one who tried to get the Avengers to sign the Sokovia Accords. Yeah, that man. Yelena next appears in the Hawkeye mini series. "Black Widow" was supposed to be released before Avengers: Infinity War," but Covid delayed it. Great reactions! After that, unless Disney/Marvel releases something before then, we'll see Yelena in the "Thunderbolts" movie coming out next year. Along with Alexi and Bucky. That's going to be interesting. Walker will be in it, too, as the U.S. Agent. And Ross will be played by Harrison Ford, since William Hurt is playing in Heaven, now.

What is important is what we LEARN from this film: the backstory of Natasha and her "family", Yelena, the Red Guardian...they all have stories of their own story to tell. Also this film get's HUGE points for using "Smell's Like Teen Spirit" in it's opening and having some really dark and tragic opening cinematics...we all NOW know the story of Natasha and her Sister being trained as assassins and how they suffered...but the opening showed us the steps they went through...it was awful and sick.

"meh...it's boring" Was literally my reaction to the first captain America and Black panther. Endgame was good, great even, but it was not "mindbloing" You need higher standards. Who are "they", and why should we listen to "them"? Seriously, though... while I recognize some of the issues with the film and parts that could have been improved, overall I thought this was a solid send-off for Natasha, and a fine way to introduce some new characters going forward. And please do look forward to more appearances of Yelena Bulova in the future! By the way, Budapest is the capital city of Hungary.

They completely ruined Natasha in her last appearance she didn’t even act like Natasha she acted like Scarlett. We didn’t even get 1 single scene of her in the red room. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross is an Army general. He is the father of Betty Ross, love interest of Dr. Bruce Banner before he went on the run. He was involved in the secret project in the early 2000s trying to replicate the super soldier serum using gamma radiation which resulted in the accidental creation of the Hulk, then was trying to track down the Hulk. He had a contentious relationship with Tony Stark. He later became Secretary of State of the United States, and went to see the Avengers at their compound after the incident in Nigeria at the start of Captain America: Civil War, to inform them about the Sovokia Accords. He oversaw The Raft, a special high-tech prison in the middle of the ocean built to contain superhumans, where several of the Avengers ended up after the events of Civil War. He's going to show up again in the upcoming film The Thunderbolts, probably in a more prominent role than he has ever had before, this time played by Harrison Ford (as John Hurt, the actor who portrayed him in this film, passed away.)
