I was 50/50. Only issue is any crusted on salt can still slowly corrode contacts and computers. They need to flush everything out with another solvent like alcohol or distilled water.

@@Otterbruce It actually does tend to work. The problem is that it can't fix all liquid damage. If you blew part of the circuit by repeatedly trying to turn it on, if a capacitor blew up, etc, it can't fix that. But if it's just water, it can be fixed. Done it many times. Of course you could just wait for it to dry out instead, but takes way longer. Like that car had been full of water for months and still had puddles. Also salt water naturally corrodes metal. If you dropped your phone in the ocean, it's probably just straight toast as even if you get the water out, the salt will eat away at it. You'd have to then submerge it in distilled water or isopropyl alcohol then dry it out. Possibly due that multiple times. But if you don't like cleaning up a mess, you can also just use a dehumidifier and the device in a box on the humidifier's intake. Probably the more elegant but more expensive solution.

@@taylorfrederick-os9dl salvage lot only checks if vehicles turn on by its own power (battery) and if not than they consider non-op. They don't put the effort to figure why, would cost them too much to do so, even for in house guys.
