1:16:52 I’m having difficulty conceptualizing what a tabletop robotics device would be too.. closest I can get from that would either be some advanced 3D printer that could print everything necessary from the product and internal components (imagine 3D printing an iPhone or Apple Watch from scratch), or maybe something along the ideas of the Microsoft Surface/PixelSense from awhile back.

I respect this opinion but my thought is that although many won’t respect Sam’s new opinion, it is amazing (to me) that Sam is passionate and authentic. Many people called him an Apple sheep and Jon was balanced but it was great to see that he leads with his heart and says what he thinks. I do think his opinion on Apple Vision Pro is spot on. If you try the demo in the store, it is a flaming piece of junk but just a great tech demo. Apple needs to give up on it and it requires truth sayers for Apple to get off their high horse and produce a good product.

@@JosefTorkelsenBoth him and Jon have been critical about Apple before and they were very right in doing so but the way he analyses things is so short sighted and immature for sometime. Quinn and Jon are spot on with constructive criticism, their basis is strong. Jon rightly pointed out in this episode about him wondering if this the guy he’s doing a show with for a long time. It’s baffling to me as well, how can a talented guy like Sam say idiotic things which is obvious😅. All jokes aside, Sam is extremely hard working and great but I don’t know what’s wrong, is he trying to be controversial and dumb for the sake of it 🫤

Sam's rant about this product being "RIDICULOUS" for $3499 is rich coming from someone who likes and buys luxury and designer clothes. What can a Balenciaga shirt do for me that a shirt from Walmart can't? The value isn't there for him, that's it. It's not overpriced, and it's certainly not ridiculous. Seeing the price of the BOM actually justifies that price to me.

With the way these comments are he is right to hold back. Man constantly repeats “it’s just my opinion”. And every comment here is like “how can you objectively say Apple needs to do X and Y?!!” This podcast has gotten unbearable lately. The hosts and audience. The first 20min of this podcast was a lie for reactions bait…and Sam called it 10 seconds into the bit and he’s the clueless one? Nah, he has to hold back for survival.

1:10:17 A ring would be an interesting product, but it feels like it would only be an accessory because of the limited size. Measuring the various health metrics on the wrist like the watch does now is limited because of how deep the lights/lasers can penetrate. I believe I heard the difference for a metric like HR or O2 was about 1-2 measurements a second on the wrist, whereas a ring on a finger can take upwards of 250 measurements per second.

I feel Jon. Modern tech and leaks are just all the same. We've plateud in a lot of consumer electronics and we're just waiting for the next big change. I've fallen in love with vintage computing all over again and I really enjoy learning about stories and history of the 80s and 90s. Things were so innovative and always changing. We've never really seen such an insanely complex industry get so stagnant

I had my AirPods Max in blue about 3 months after they released and ended up selling them to my Dad. I loved them, its just the headband for me started to weaken making the weight more difficult to wear for more than a few minutes compared to the first year or so that I had them. I barley used them but it still started to give me massive headaches. I ended up buying the Sony XM5s and I love those. Both are great but for me Sony was the better option for me.

1:16:08 AirPods with AI and cameras? Only use case I can think of for something like this is having the cameras at the bottom of the stems, pointing at yours hands around where they would be on a table or on your lap. In theory, whatever device the AirPods are paired to can now be controlled with gestures just like on visionOS. I think Apple TVs and iPads would benefit the most from this added input option, and in the future if Apple does ever come out with smart glasses, then this would be another input method alongside Siri, just like you have on the Vision Pro. Maybe future Vision Pros can also use these as extra cameras that you can add for more accuracy, or perhaps the smaller/lighter Vision headsets (if they'll have lesser cameras to reduce cost and size) will rely on this method, too.

I love driving but it is frustrating that people on the road aren’t paying attention to the road so I’ll gladly give up my steering wheel if safety is near assured in the road. Plus, I want to increase the speed limit to >100 and you can only do that with autonomous cars rather than people driving.

I had heard that the reason Apple didn’t purchase Tesla was because part of the deal was that Elon would become the next CEO of Apple once Tim retired. And Tim Cook was not in favor of that idea.

41:12 apple has used R&D for other devices making Vision pro not cost what people think to make because that R&D cost is spread throughout their complete device line, This product an all Apple products are overpriced thats why they don’t sell more products than other tech companies but make more money than all other Tech companies, not saying their products aren’t nice but just like difference between vision pro $3500 and Meta Quest 3 $500 it’s not anywhere near 700% better to make worth that price difference

Apple working in the car was a terrible idea. Cars are hard and a distraction. Focus on being an awesome software company and small electronics. Focus on great Apple car play and partnering with car brands. No need to make the car.

Electric cars sales are falling and too many charging issues. Plus battery replacement $10,000’s and charging cost and times dramatically increasing. Apple was to be electric and market saturated with Chinese. Long live IC engine tech. EV’s are short range expensive total life cost vehicles. All this about EVs just developed in last few months.
