Sam is looking at Tim Cook differently after the Vision Pro. But, I think his legacy will be more relevant after Apple steps into AI. With Apple making it more safe and make it look less dangerous for the future is what I think what would be on top of Cook’s legacy.

I'm an EU citizen who's into tech, and was (and is) pretty anti-Apple in many aspects, despite obviously being a fan (I'm a listener for over 3 years LOL). My first iPhone was an 11 Pro. It was a choice that was made because Android (made by another USA based company) is basically a fake news spilling spyware, and Microsoft decided to drop out of the game for good. It was NOT a choice because what Apple offers is in any way attractive, but because their ecosystem is the least in the way of living my life as I want to. Apple is not the good guy in ANY story, they are tax evading, anti union, wage thief benefactors of slave work in India, China, and the global South. No, that is NOT acceptable in the name of "innovation". You have to understand that we in the EU raised differently. Companies are not the ruler class here, and we understand why we have strict legislation on everything. We know that we live in safe welfare states DUE to these regulations. We have cheap, accessible, healthy food, good healthcare, free education, superb access to transit, a pension system, paid parental and sick leave, worker's rights, less than one tenth of the homicide rate of the US. If we let Nestlé, Renault, Siemens, or Airbus dictate European lawmaking, we'd be FUCKED. It baffles me every time when Jon comments on how certain regulations are a slippery slope, when I feel the exact opposite. Y'all are already on a slide to corporate hell, and thanks, we're not really into the idea. The slippery slope is not regulating companies, which in turn pollute you to oblivion, while employing you for jack shit. Your quality of life is dependent on a functioning society, not because a phone that is 2mm thinner.

Phawk USB-C! Long Live Lightening be IO ever! If Apple made Lightening open source it would take off and replace Micro-USB-B on all sorts of charging devices. But, alas... no.

EU listener here and already got fed up with most things that the EU did. This goes beyond just this regulation, it's how they have done politics in general. There's a reason for the political switch in EU countries currently. Can't wait to move (very soon!) and escape this mess. And enjoy Apple AI.
