@@KeepingItDutch sorry dutch but you are wrong, it can and will break your dogs or pigs legs if it gets a hold of them. Snapping turtles are predators! You need to get it out of there and take it to the other property and dump it in the creek so it can go on its merry way. THey have a bite similar to a pit bull and like them they don't like to let go either. Have seen one that size snap a 1 1/2" thick dry hard wood branch in half like breaking dry spaghetti noodles in half.

It's a common Snapping turtle. They are excellent diggers and soak to hydrate themselves. You could relocate him to your other little pond and feast on frogs there. They will dig 3-4ft in late fall to brumate(hibernate), so he's not suctioned to the bottom. He's where he wants to be! Lol

We had snapper turtles at the lake, where we went each weekend. My grandpa owned a construction company back in the 30’s and a few of them built this beautiful private lake. They built this lake and sold lots. My dad had 2 lots and we camped on them, fished, my uncle let us waterski with our cousins & they had a cabin. We cooked over the fire & my brother told spooky stories to us kids which we loved. We never built a cabin because we all had tents and campers. Mom would make a massive amount of food and bring it out to the lake, fresh from our house in town about 40 min away. We had snapping turtles and boy were they big. Someone caught one and pulled it in on a fishing line. The head of that turtle was huge and it was mean. So many incredible memories of lake trips with our family of 9. My parents are long gone, we kids are all in our 70s now. But the lake is still being enjoyed by younger generations today. Lots of cute cabins around Northeast Kansas beautiful trees and flint hills of the rolling hills of Kansas. My grandpa made the right decision & my memories of Lake Elbo, Kansas go deep and are priceless memories in my now 72 yrs. I still miss mom & dad more than anything. Very special times and we learned so much about nature out there too.

I had on an old lady flowery robe and fuzzy shoes. I had to haul it down the street to an easement to get to the pond. I'm sure that the neighbors laughed at me. One the way, I woke up a neighbor who was a photographer. She just laughed and got some really nice pics of it hissing and carrying on. It didn't want to stay at the pond and kept hissing and trying to follow me. Hope, I'm glad you're feeling better. I like watching you at the creek.

It's a snapping turtle he's not stuck he digs himself down. They can live in mud for months. They have so much power in their jaws. They can take a finger off. Better hope it don't bite gunnar. They will hold on forever. Like he did the stick.

I’m screaming go get the bobcat😂😂😂😂snapping turtles will take your finger off and they bury themselves in mod that’s how they live! Definitely don’t put them in your animals areas! When they bite they do not turn loose! That will definitely take the end of Gunners nose off! His neck will reach around to his tail! Omg get that away from that dog!

Hi Dutch, Hope I hope you get feeling better soon🤞🤞. Nothing better than farm fresh eggs, what a difference from what you get in the Grocery Store. That is strange something living in the mud? Wow that’s a big turtle. ❤️❤️👍👍🇨🇦
