Fresh spring kittens are a tradition on our farm. These kittens bring such joy to our children while they grow and when the time is right, we give them away to loving homes. #kittens

Glad the weather is looking better in da UP. Kittens are the best for young and older farm kids.

I blamed the kids, but I like them too.

You can have her spayed. I love kittens too, but we need to be responsible caretakers and not add to the overpopulation. You look like kind, decent people and I'm not saying otherwise. It is quite possible the father of the kittens was one of her offspring that are feral near the property.

Mam with all due respect, we live in a very rural area where there are more cows than people. Farm kids are becoming a lost treasure in our modern society. We are not contributing to overpopulation by any stretch of the imagination. We have other cherished cats that are fixed. We have this one in the video that is the happiest when she has her litter. My kids have learned how to care for all animals because of this momma cat. They’ve also had to watch their favorite kittens leave with other little kids. This responsibility is what is lacking in our society. There was a time when people trusted farmers to do the right thing and wanted to buy their food straight from the farm. There are plenty of examples of people doing the wrong thing but I can assure you that is not the case here. It is sad that animal shelters are overwhelmed with strays that people don’t care for properly. Many farms have disappeared and people think that food comes from the grocery store and the only place to find a pet is at the shelter. My kids can talk about breeds and species and specific care and types of grasses and seasonal crops that would blow your mind. I’m responsible for teaching them how to live, and make things and be good citizens. I appreciate your advice and for watching, please check out our library of videos.

I had typed up a long, nicely worded reply, but the reply failed to post. One thing the Army taught me is when people say "all due respect" it means something else, kinda like "bless her little heart" does. I'm a grandmother of 12 and taught my kids (and a few grandkids) the same things you're teaching yours. In essence, again I think you're wonderful people, I just think we, as responsible adults, should not add to overpopulation. Thank you for listening.

I sure didn’t mean, “bless your little heart “, I only had your KZfaq handle to go by. For all I knew you were a 12 year old boy! I appreciate and respect your opinion. All I see and hear is disrespect for, “the opposite opinion “. Everyone is on the defensive immediately because of this. I’m sure you are too. I see our farm as a way of life that used to be cherished and now considered abnormal. I thought showing our family still using farm methods from the old days would spark a ton of interest. I noticed a huge increase in traffic to our farm for beef, pork and eggs during the pandemic. How quickly people forget about the shortages. When we the small farmers disappear, there will be no alternative when the shipping containers stop coming. I completely agree with you about being responsible and that’s why I encouraged you to watch our channel. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks again.

Why don't you have that poor at fixed?
@zawadafarms74022 ай бұрын
I guess you missed the part where I explained why we kept that particular cat intact. Why say that poor cat, she is so happy with her litter of kittens and all the attention. We have other cats that are fixed. My wife and children love and cherish this cat and she is treated like a queen.

The world is awash in unwanted cats. Have your cats spayed or neutered. This is NOT cute.

Karen here’s some free advice back, if you see a video that you don’t like, just swipe to the next one. We let our children enjoy kittens until they are old enough to give away to good homes. Little children receiving their first pet, college aged girls picking out their first pet and widowers who need companionship are just some of the people who have come here and adopted kittens. The way farms work is when we have an abundance, after we have fed ourselves, we offer things for sale. People buy eggs, beef , pork and produce because it’s done responsibly and respectfully on the land. With all this land we manage comes a few extra critters that make the farm their home. Since we are responsible stewards we care for them too. I can’t believe you watched this video and couldn’t see the cuteness of it. Farms are full of life and with that comes a lot of hard work, even for the kids. Kittens bring joy to everyone, try and view this video again and picture little kids playing with their first kittens. Thanks for watching.
