oh my god!! Jay you went to the same coulee pond I go to. When you show the road being snowed in at the beginning you can see tire tracks from a truck getting stuck and that was me! If you ever come back try the actual diversion just south, it is alot better for perch and northern. This is go to spot and it makes me happy to see my favorite KZfaqr fish it.

I never realized you don’t have much of a bluegill bite up by you! They are my favorite fish to target on thru the ice here in Wisconsin. Awesome you got on a big school like that. The non-stop action is tough to beat, no matter the size! Really awesome footage with the underwater camera too. So cool to see them interact & learn from it! Keep on slaying 💪🏼 🎣 🧊

Bluegill are my favorite fish to catch and my favorite to eat! I keep them from 7.5 to 9 inches. Any over 9 inches are trophies to me and they get put back.

Whether you call them Brim or Bluegills, the incredible Pumkinseeds, the awesome Redears, these awesome species keep me entertained on the ice. As you mentioned, the colors can be incredible, so vibrant, and the bigger ones on light tackle sure make a day on the ice enjoyable. Thanks for the visual. Always great to see when you post a video, I know it will be awesome!

Bummer that you don't have any bluegills up there, pound for pound, they are the toughest fighters around! I love how excited you are about them, we just take them for granted because they're so plentiful. Come on down to central MN sometime, there are some brutes to be found if you know where to look.

Fished one of the other lakes in that chain of lakes in high school. Spent lots of time out there, some of those pike lurking in there get really big and one or two of them still have Clam Dropkicks in their lip after fishing for perch. That mall is also called Grand Cities Mall, when KMart was there we spent lots of time there 😂

It like Aron catching them with a drone. East into Minnesota a little ways you can get some clear water and camera fish sunnies all day long. We have a lot of snow so the light isn’t the best. O yea and after your done catching fish you loose track of time and need to get another test.

Big bluegill hunting helps with every species of fishing. They can be so picky in presentation, cadence and location. To catch big 10”+ pressured gills is probbley the hardest fish to catch besides muskies. Looked like u hit the perfect time and location.

We have those in North Western Montana and they drive me nuts when I bass fish 😂 they are insanely aggressive for their size! I've caught tons with a 5" sanko worm, they just hang onto the tail and won't let go until they come out of the water! They are excellent eating if you can catch a mess of good sized ones!

I’ve been chasing big bluegills my whole life. The biggest bluegills I’ve really seen in northwest MN is 11. Which is very very rare. A 10 inch gill is like a 28” walleye in my opinion. Super fun to chase. The Bull gills get really hard to catch. 10 inch gill is about 10 years old..
