@livinginhtx your team needs to visit the next boom area quickly, so people can get in while affordable. Grand Oaks Reserve in Cleveland TX. $300k for 6 bedroom, 3,000 Sq ft. There are $200k houses. Many Veterans live here. Teachers.

That house you toured and showed 3B 2B what is the asking price and interest rate there offering?

Interest rates are always based on your credit and the type of loan, not the property, not matter where the property is located at, loans available are FHA, CONV, VA JUMBO. Down payment depends on the type of loan you qualify for as well, unless is seller financing, but that's a different situation.

Even if I was married with 2 kids, I could not envision a life where I have consciously isolated myself from society and now the focal point of my life becomes this ~1500-2000 square foot home on a boxed in lot with no real foliage, a shopping center with target/tj maxx/pet smart/starbucks, and a HS football field. I feel like communities like just scream I'm a soulless consumer who has devolved into eating at Name-Your-Darden-Restaurant every weekend. My only joy in life would be my daily Houston commute in my Tesla Model Whatever w/Amazing sound system, and hoping my kids grow up to be athletic enough to play on the HS football team that the high school is anchored on. P.S. - And I don't play golf.
