*UPDATE ON THE DOGS* The bigger black and white dog was adopted within the first week in the shelter🙌 Unfortunately, the smaller dog has not been adopted yet and is currently being fostered so he can go up north to a rescue group. If you are interested in adopting him you can reach out to the shelter in Summerville, GA. Their phone number is 706-857-0679 and their Facebook page is listed under “Animal Advocates of Chattooga County”

I am so glad you stayed to help those dogs and didn't try to cross the road. I once saw a dog get hit by a car. The driver had plenty of time to stop or avoid a collision but didn't, and he/she didn't stop to render aid either. It happened over 10 years ago, and the images still haunt me.

We just put our little dog to sleep yesterday. He went peacefully at home. It was sad but the cancer was taking him. Thank you for taking care of the two strays. Hopefully someone will give them a good home. Thanks for all your cool content.

It was very hard watching this video. My sweet, kind, amazing, and beautiful dog passed away this afternoon in my arms. I'm a mess because I miss her so much. I just want to say I think it's amazing that you stopped and helped those dogs and showed them the love and kindness that all dogs deserve. So, thank you for both helping those amazing dogs, as well as helping me start to heal my heart break through your act of kindness and compassion.

5:10 In situations like that you should call the Sheriff's Department non-emergency number. Many times a Deputy Sheriff will be able to figure out who's dog it is with just a couple of phone calls. Anyway I'm happy the dogs are in good care now. You did the right thing. 👍

Awesome job caring for the pups. Found a husky puppy on the AT in PA. Made a leash and hiked 10 miles to Eckville shelter. Luckily it had tags and I was able to call the owner who drove fifty miles to pick it up in the middle of the night.

The dogs are related First off i thought the were litter mates. Then close up one was bigger. Maybe a mom and a grown up almost pup. They're so sweet and a little smart to follow kind voices. Hooray for Tripod finding food in the middle of sorta nowhere. Very kind and noble. I hope someone can take them. Strays become the most loyal appreciative pets. Heart is breaking. Best of luck to all four hikers.

Kelly, it's because you do things such as this, that makes you my #1 hiker to watch. Enjoy all your adventures, and you do such a great job recording, even when you're not feeling well. I'm so sorry about your poison ivy. I've had good success using a topical steroid cream. Poison ivy limits my backpacking activities here in the deep south this time of year. Fall is a much better time usually. I've heard that the Colorado Trail and the Tahoe Rim Trail have no poison ivy. I'll be praying for you.
