Actually had this happen with a smartphone before. Pretty much knocked on the door (with someone else present) and said something along the lines of "thanks for finding my phone, here's the $20 reward". Easy way to immediately de-escalate and could tell the brother of the culprit who answered the door was just relieved we didn't get a third party involved.

Something I learned about C-sections... Found out from a friend that had one. Is that they are not gentle with you. They do numb you, but you're awake for the process and they don't cut very deep. Because cutting too deep could cause nerve damage, they cut the very top of the skin, and then tear the flesh of the abdomen wall. It's then 6-8 weeks where you are not allowed to do anything. Because even walking around, could rip your stitches open and then you need to go back to hospital. So you're chair/bed bound for that time. And the whole time you're abdomen is all bruised and painful. Because yeah, they numb you for delivery, but if you're breast feeding. Then you can't take any painkillers, because you'd be contaminating the baby's milk. That being said, they are the emergency alternative. And if the there's a chance of danger to the baby or mother and the c-section reduces that damage or probability. Then it's the mothers call.

I had 2 c/sections. During the actual birth, the epidural makes it so you don't feel the pain, but you still feel them tugging your insides around. and then recovery is a bitch. every cough, laugh, attempts to move.... Pain. With a regular birth, the female body generally works how it was designed. You may tear, or need an episiotomy (when they cut the skin between vaj and buthole to make more room for baby to exit), end up with a few stitches, etc, but it doesn't take very long to heal and bounce back. With a c/sec, your entire abdomen (skin, muscles, uterus) has been cut open and ripped apart, then sewn back together. C/sections are much more painful, and harder to recover from overall. C/sections fubar your core, and even make it harder to lose weight.

I think a valuable lesson here is that Ludwig is good at being present in the moment: reading a book, motivated by jump king, streaming, etc. If Slime feels like he can'T improves in games he cares about as much as Ludwig, then maybe he's comparing himself to a version of himself a the end of the process where he is cracked instead of the moment where he needs to focus on improving.

I like them talking about SAT scores as if they don't change the scoring method every 3 years. The only part that matters is the percentile you hit

Ludwig is right about Galaxy having the least interesting movement of all the 3D Marios - but that doesn't even remotely make it a bad game. Even the most boring movement by 3D mario standards is still incredibly tight and effective for what it wants to be. It doesn't need to have dozens of unnecessary movement options becuase the levels aren't designed for that, like in the other games. It's excellent at what it does, and while my favorite is still Odyssey because of said movement mechanics, the level design and setpieces in Galaxy are absolutely stellar.

RE4 on the Wii has better movement than any of the other consoles its on just because aiming is with the Wiimote and you run and do most of the knifing stuff with the nunchuck buttons and stick. Aiming with the Wiimote in RE4 is actually fun and i think it was easier than traditional controllers tbh. On the subject of all wii game having bad controls that was one that actually had improved controls.

Lud has had a lot of bad takes over the course of the show. Mario Galaxy doesn't hold up is probably the most insane one yet.
