Omnimon give "Triattack I learn fire and ice attacks but I'm actually a normal type" vibe

the only problem i have is with Patamon's ability being levitate, because making it a flying type already gives it ground type immunity, so levitate is useless to Patamon. Other than that, i loved the video and would love to see more like this. 😁

Omegamon, fire/ice type with the Steelworker ability, gives it STAB for steel type moves.

Normal type seems to oddly be the obvious type for Omnimon. Generally in Pokemon whenever a Pokemon is meant to represent having the power of all the Types (Arceus, Silvally, Terapogos, hell even Smeargle to a degree) they have the Normal type and usually have a move or ability that allows them to harness the different elements. Maybe give it an ability that gives it Fire and Ice type stabs so that it can take advantage of the moves of it's composite parts. It does give it the weakness to Fighting, but honestly I can see Alphamon being a Fighting type in a lot of ways so that works

I'm always here for pokedigi content. It reminds me of those little childhood daydreams while scribbling poorly drawn other world versions of creatures from these and other franchises. Just very nostalgic in a weird way.

Phoenixmon should have had revival blessing as it's signature move. Or sacred fire. Then the ability could just be regenerator so when it comes back after taking damage it breathes new life into the mon being healthy again.

7:03 I do see the reasoning for Perish Body, but I'd say Regenerator works better with the "revive from the ashes" bit as it is a healing ability that requires you switch out to work.

I like War Greymon as a Dragon/Steel personally as one of his counterparts, Mugendramon, would share the same Typing, making them a branch evolution for MetalGreymon of sorts.

I actually named most of my Digimon in Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory after their human partners. Got interesting when I had to name my Omnimon "Tai Matt" and Baelzemon BM "Ai Mako".

Like every previous PokeDigi collab you two made, this was *AWESOME!* Please continue with this idea by giving Pokemon Types to other main cast digimon partners from future seasons. If you do though, I wonder if you'll include the Armor Evos with their own Poketype once you do Digimon Adventure 02? Branched Evolution or Terastallization, perhaps? Will you also be covering Digimon Adventure 2020? Specifically, the Alternate Digivolutions. Anyway, this was such a great collab with a fun idea. Keep it up!

This is I believe the first time I've commented on the channel, but i wanted to thank you Karn for all the hard work you've done in making enjoyable content as I've been marathoning your content as its been helping me get through a really hard time in my life as recently my father died and now have to put my dog down in a few days as she has cancer and other health issues that cant be fixed. So thank you for the content; I get to relive/reconnect to my childhood and its helping me get through this difficult point in my life.

MORE POKEDIGIS PLEASE! I like how there was very little care to making the abilities and attacks match up to each other. Boosting special attack, but having a physical signature move is silly, BUT it's all fore the theming which is more important. Love this and can't wait to see what you do for 02 and armor forms. (Water steel for Submarimon, right)

Omnimon should be Steel/Normal and should have Flash Cannon as one of it's two signature moves (from Garurumon) but I'm having a hard time thinking of something for it to get from War Greymon. Abilities should be Pressure (Normal) and Levitate (Hidden).

I would love to see more of this type of content in the future and I agree with most of your picks. Personaly I would make Wargreymon a fire/fighting type with Dragon's Maw which gives it dragon STAB which makes it harm dragon types without being a dragon type itself.

I think the only thing I would have liked to seen was an inclusion of Ophanimon (if Charizard can have two Mega Evolutions, Angewomon can too damn it!) but I also understand Ophanimon was NOT Gatomon's mega in the OG Adventure 01

Really nice, I'd love to see more of these in the future. One thing I find funny for Birdramon having Flame Body to make eggs hatch faster is that... it's a bird, so now I'm picturing Birdramon sitting on Patamon's egg in a little nest with its heat body to make it hatch. Also, for Omnimon, there are a couple of types combinations that could work. Ice/Fire, of course, Steel/Ice or Steel/Fire, but we lose a part of it, Steel/Fairy, if Fairy is the closest to Light, but also Steel/Fighting, as a compromise, or Fairy/Fighting, to merge together what we can. Too bad triple types aren't a thing

For Omnimon, I'd say give it Steelworker. Dhelmise's ability to let it use Steel Type moves for STAB. That way it will get the same attack benefit it would get from being steel type.

I think making Omnimon fire/ice type works perfectly, as it represents duality. Maybe getting steelworker as an ability?

But, sure, one for every season of Digimon sounds great - the more the merrier. Now, that I think about it...I would love to see this done for the Ghost Game group :D

For Omnimon I think it should be steel type. However it has an ability to have steel type melee attacks to count as Fire type. Like metal claw or Behemoth Blade. Meanwhile steel type range attacks to count as Ice type. Like steel beam or flash cannon.

I’ve been making a rom hack around an idea like this. I noticed that there are very few Digimon I’d consider Psychic type, and there’s only about 5 Ghosts, so I changed them to Holy and Mystic type respectively. Made classifying Digimon under Pokémon types a lot easier…

Thank you for acknowledging the Gabumon line with Dark types! I always see people try to make the whole line ice or a make Matt an ice type trainer, but dark fits the line so well. And while I agree that Steel / Ice fits well for Metalgarurumon I also think you could go Dark / Ice with an ability like steelworker to cover steel attacks, or an ice variant for a Dark / Steel type. But all to say glad to see dark Garurumon get some love

I'd personally would go Dragon/Fighting for Wargreymon: Yes, it has Chrome Digizoid armor, but it's fighting prowess and it being humanoid are more critical to it's theme I think then it's armor is: It's even named WAR -greymon! Arguably the same steel > fighting suggestion I'd give to Magnaangemon: it's specifically his combat mode vs his priest mode, and I don't think his "armor" is particularly metal: It's mostly the translucent purple stuff. Spike cannon is also a less extreme sig option for Ikakumon: That's often shown as Cloyster firing it's horn out like a missle! I actually think you guys should consider making NEW abilities and moves rather then using existing ones if there's nothing that fits. For example, a new ability for Diaboromon that allows it to auto generate substitutes or low HP clones of itself to fill knocked out slots in your team, or just to attack multiple times per turn sorta like Mega Khangaskhan's ability

Normal has been used as a converging or master of multiple types, so I think it fits. Omnimon's coloration being mainly white also works, as Regigigas and Arceus ("high-tier"/legendary Pokemon who are Normal type) are mainly white

Great video! Really enjoyed the typings and abilities. I think Omegamon should either be: Dragon/Steel, to use parts of both Wargreymon's and Metalgarurumon's, though, it would make him the same typing as Wargreymon, which is kinda boring, or, should be Dragon/Ice, which would also use both War's and Metal's typing. And, if Zygard full form can be a dragon, so can Omegamon. For it's ability, i've two ideas, making it as a variation of Calyrex's "As One", having both Blaze's and Ice Body's effect at the same time, and, as a hidden ability, i would give it Protean, so, moves that aren't dragon and ice (o steel, if you prefer dragon/steel) still having stab boost, which i think would fit Omegamon, since, by the video, it seems like it would be a fusion of two mega pokemon. As my second idea for it's ability, i think it could be something entirely new, something that would boost both sword and cannon attacks, since it would make perfect sense for Omegamon to have that. Maybe, a hidden ability of levitate. For it's signature moves, either give it Sacred Sword and Flash Cannon, for obvious reasons, or, give him unique attacks, like "Transcendent Sword" (or Grey Sword, if you are more into the original name.) and "Supreme Cannon"(or Garuru Cannon), much like flying press, i think these two unique attacks could hit with "dual-type" effect, Fire(or dragon, i can't choose which one)/Steel for Transcendent Sword, and, Ice/Steel for Supreme cannon.

Here to say "more pokedigis!" These types of vids are always so fun! I think it'd also be cool to see y'all's takes on types/abilities/moves for Digimon villains too, but that might be a hard vid to fill time on unless you included more than the on-screen evolutions of some. Also, it's a little redundant to give Patamon "Levitate" imo. If it weren't for me seeing your comment about Rotom Fan, I wouldn't have realized Game Freak did it first tho LMAOOOO. I decided to scroll through a list of abilities to make some suggestions though, and I may as well include a few meme ones myself (though they're also a little thematic to Patamon's "late bloomer" arcs in Adventure): -Stall (moves after all other Pokemon on the field) -Slow Start (temporarily halves attack and speed; did you know they finally gave this to another Pokemon than Regigigas? I just learned that lol. Thank you Varoom.) If it wasn't a meme, I feel like a few other abilities that might fit Patamon are: -Aerilate (or Pixilate, if we want to hint at Patamon's evolutions) -Keen Eye (preventing accuracy being lowered as another tie in to Patamon's evolutions since y'all gave Seraphimon Victory Star) -Anticipation (though that's kinda for the meme, but I think it's fitting)

although this is technically not how this ability works - i’d give Omnimon stance change, and have it swap from fire-steel when using physical moves, and ice-steel when using special moves

*MORE POKE-DIGIS PLEASE!* Really guys, what a great concept. Karn and Brandon make the best collaboration videos between digimon and pokemon. Absolutely loved the Gabumon and Palmon lines the most. And for Omnimon I think the fire ice types work the best. I don't care how much steel makes sense for the knight. Fire and Ice are the elements that to me define WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon and it makes sense their fusion is those two types. As for stuff I would add or change. I'm still debating if to make Gomamon a water normal type. Pure water does work though. What I'm sure of is that I'd make Patamon a normal flying, Angemon a fairy fighting, and Gatomon a normal fighting. The fairy type as stand in for angel/angelic digimon makes sense. But I see both, Angemon and Gatomon too much as brawlers to not give them the fighting type. That would be all I would add. The rest is perfect, chef's kiss👍 And please do more of this with the rest of the Digimon season🙏🙏🙏🙏 Now on to watch Brandon's video!

I think Gabumon's line should be dark type because he belongs to the nightmare spirits and has purple cards in the TCG so he starts Dark then dark/fire then dark/fighting and lastly dark steel yeah he has an ice theme but that's usually secondary imo for omni he can be psychic/steel because how it translates his mystical abilities like omega in force the best like solgaleo and Luna

i loved this and agree with all of them apart from patamons ability. with it being a pure flying type, levitate is obsolete, maybe aireliate? makes all normal moves flying type and boosts the power of said moves!

"Horn Drill is probably the closest to Harpoon Torpedo" Icicle spear, which launches several projectiles like Harpoon Torpedo often does: "Am I a joke to you?" Also Ice Hammer was right there for Vikemon!

I think I said this before but I'd love to see what pokemon could fit in digimon lines and vis versa.

Update: Hail no longer exists as it once did as of scarlet and Violet. Instead it is snow, which works like rain where no chip damage is dealt, but ice types get a boost in one of the defenses and heal ice types at the end of each battle step.

A fun video and I like this idea that the Megas are Mega Evolutions. But also more PokeDigis please.

Omnimon is absolutely a Normal Type; potentially with some new ability that boosts fire/ice attacks. Maybe have it be another big Tri-Attack user outside of the Doduo line with an effect that boosts it, whether it be power or the odds of getting an effect of said Tri Attack? I could also see Phoenixmon/Hououmon being Fire/Fairy too, given Phoenixes are typically considered holy in certain cultures.

I'd argue Psychic is also pretty close to a "light" type, there's a fair number of light based psychic type moves like Light Screen, Luster Purge and Prismatic Laser, not to mention Necrozma, who is probably the most light themed Pokemon, is mainly psychic type. There are also a few Electric type Pokemon with "light" as their category, so one could also think about that.
