That's some real crappy puzzle design there... Stick you in a dark room with a candle you arbitrarily can't light, then make lighting it the way to get out?

Not just that, everything is designed to waste your time. Scrounging around for fuses, it wasn't a puzzle, just busy work. Making you watch a sequence to get the code key (and probably write it down) more time wasting. It's all just filler because the puzzle could be solved in minutes potentially. If you like puzzle solving, The Room and The Room Two (haven't played Three yet) are a lot more interesting and jam packed with puzzles especially compared to this game.

The theme of the room is Sloth.... which equates to WASTING TIME >.> If anything it makes me wonder how well the themes after present themselves

@@AwfulPlayerVids I mean, technically any puzzle is designed to waste time. Myst is a game that can take...days, for some people to finish, if they've never played it. But when you know the answers you can literally finish it in about five minutes.

I don't know if people think they are clever or they honestly don't understand. If you can't tell the difference between being presented a puzzle and being given pointless tasks to do, I don't know that I can help you. If I say "How can you give me 41 cents using 9 coins?" there is a specific solution and you can figure it out. If I say "I buried 9 coins on the beach, dig them up and tell me the total" that's fucking busy work. I didn't play much of the original Myst, my friend had it. It did seem to involve a lot of walking around the island aimlessly, but that was from the perspective of a kid.

Ah haha.... at the end when you see completed in "44:51" you can tell how much fussing around they had to cut out. But the "Riddle Bros" did it in the end! Good jorb!

i wonder if the other sins are more related to their actual gameplay. not that its a different puzzle, but if lust is a scare chase or greed is a collect quest. sloth was so much paperwork and sitting on one screen for 45 minutes mathing it out, because its just that, sloooooooooow

The book can be a relic of the Bristol pusher, get Lewis to sign the last page in invisible ink that can only be seen with heat and lemon juice or whatever combination is needed xD

Oooookay, the key to the second room's exit is in a candle... That's a stupid place to hide it. Hands up. If you had to do this puzzle in real life, who would've lit the candle the moment you could do so? If I were in the room, I would've lit it in order to have more light. The entire puzzle hinges on you being stupid enough _not_ to do something logical like lighting a candle in a dark room.

Not to mention that the lighter and candle is one of the few things you could actually interact with. Also, it makes zero sense the you can't light it before putting some darts in a dart board. I assumed it was bugged or something.

to be fair, if you were locked in that room in real life, the first thing you would do is light the candle and you'd probably notice the key immediately.

Well, kinda dark, haha, but otherwise I kinda liked how much actually went into that puzzle! Getting a little notebook out to write stuff in can be quite fun, and I like that it was kind of needed in order to solve this one! Maybe not ideal for all computer puzzle games, but I thought it was cool here!

You didn't need to write down every number/letter pattern from the TV. All you had to do was write down the pattern you needed from the dart board, and then reference the TV for those 6 characters.

It did - the number section determined the colour, letters the location on the board and the direction was move 1 segment in that direction
