@@CobisTaba There is a KS update but the short version is that they will use a modified version of their proven method from previous tables. If you're worried about it, I'd recommend reading the update, it's fairly in-depth. For real.......when this channel first started it sparked a board game interest inside of me that has grown to be one of my biggest passions. Weirdly this hobby has made such a huge impact on me in what has been a tough time for everyone. Only recently have I been able to play board games in person and it's living up to every rose tinted perception I had of what it would actually be like. SO I just want say thanks for introducing me to something that I truly now love. I get so much joy seeing this channel grow, have a studio, and just genuinely be great....you deserve it

You know what? It would be fantastic to play Burgle Bros 2 that way, I hate the way they designed the two floors, I usually just put them side by side, but raising one part of the table and using the lower part for the other half of the casino sounds like, genuinely, a fun thing.

There is a tile placing game of the same nature, Eldritch Horror(?). It would work as well. It should leave room for floor expansion while reminding players how the mechanics of the house work. It would be terribly fun to delicately lift off the first floor to see the basement underneath but it isn't my game to play.

Great review Adam. Pro tip - put cork coasters in the bottom of the metal cup holders and your glasses won’t stick. You can glue them in, but if you leave them loose you can still wash the cup holders in the dishwasher. Also, I think the tabletop IS waterproof - meaning that water won’t damage the finish on the wood leaves. But it’s pretty difficult to keep water going through the cracks with that kind of leaf system. If one were to cover the wood leaves with a plastic table protector you could use it for dining and not worry about the surface below. Cheers guys! Can’t wait to see the in person games.

I bought one of Geeknson's tables a few years ago. I absolutely love it. Ok the last 18 months it's been a fancy dining table mostly but I still love it. Adam is right you don't need one, but it's sooooo much better than playing on a regular table. You don't lose stuff off the table for a start, and the soft playing service is nicer than a tabletop. When I ordered I wanted a size they don't advertise, but they had zero problems with making it. I also went for an unusual stain colour, but again no problems. All the way through ordering they were great and the day it finally arrived they were great too. I can easily recommend them as a company. I bump into them at the UK games expo when they exhibit there, and they still remember me because of the table. It was expensive overall, but you can easily pay around the same for a decent dining table.... and this does so much more than be a surface to sit your plates on :)

Loved the genuine enthusiasm and review. The video editing to show you sitting at the three spots was great for visualizing the size of things. May need to reconsider table sizing for other tables I have been looking at. The storage for the leaves was great. I like the line for holding cards(not too useful if you have anyone on that side with you, but still neat without distracting) That also serves to create a rails system that is incredibly simple to use. Love the system even if the boxes sent look and feel cheap it has the potential to be great. I like the ability to do split level, though like you I do not know how much I would use it. Like you said probably the best looking top I have seen. Honestly one of the nicer tables I have seen. On the negative side now. The acrylic containers look bad in comparison. The wood containers look overly blocky and feel like they take up too much space in my mind. The 2 part bottom can be annoying but I would say its nice, wish it was reversible so 2 colors. I wanted to complain about how many leaves there were but that just makes it so taking them off is easy. Each will be light and easy to store. The part that I do find annoying is that it seems only the end pieces have magnets to hold them in place. So while they are all on it seems to hold up well but otherwise it Really wobbles. So if you want to leave part in dining mode and play a game on half the board you really need to be careful to not knock the top off.

Hey, Adam. I had a couple of questions: 1. Which wood finish did you receive (i.e., natural oil or varnish)? I'm curious about the durability insofar as scratches are concerned. 2. Regarding the tabletop leaves: Do they move when someone leans against the table? How do they handle elbows? The video footage made it seem wobbly since they're only held on by magnets. Also, a small correction about the strake board: you only receive one for free, not two. Anyway, great job as always!

Great review. For the price though I don't really like it. The fact it isn't water proof is basically what would prevent me from buying it. The slats are a good idea for easy storage but if I couldn't trust the felt being left under them then there's almost no point as you'd have to store the felt separately. However there's also minor gripes like the fact that there's indents in the sides which seem mostly pointless and they kinda prevent additional people sitting at those spots. It's minor but when you're paying that much money then you don't really want minor issues. I think the table is fine but I reckon there's better options out there, possibly more expensive but worth the extra investment. For a free table though you guys got a great deal!

I think waterproof top means that the wood won’t get destroyed if you spill on it, not that it will protect the bottom table. I’m not sure though, I just took it as the wood wouldn’t get warped if you spilled something on it
