Definitely turn the idle up. Idling them at low rpm is hard on them. They don’t make much oil pressure at those rpm

Look at the line of Norwesco water tanks instead of taking the dump box off. You can buy a tank that fits inside the box and that way you can still retain the dump portion of the truck for other projects. Better yet build your own steel slip-frame the tank can sit on for easier on or off with the forklift.

Fire truck only hold about 500 gallons they are made to pump water from a hydrant...

@@jasonkaelin2337 yep, this dump truck could hold 4 of the 275gallon IPC totes(like $45-75 each used here with a manifold between them to drain evenly. That would only be like 10,000 lbs max and 2x the capacity of a fire truck. Thats what the local racetrack did for watering their dirt drag track, except they use their flatbed car hauler truck and have 8 totes on a stand with a pump that slides on the flatbed. Truck is built for that kinda weight and holds 2200 gallons!

Howdy dudes, I'm an old logger retired and in BC Canada we just put a 500 or 1000 gallon fuel tank in the dump box and a Honda 1.5 to2 in water pump and a fir hose for roads we hung a 2in Stella pipe off the back and had lots of holes, the shut off valve controls the volume, but pump and hose is best for you

I think you still need irrigation for watering duties. The elevated agriculture sprinklers would do the job and you wouldnt need bot 4 of them with the pex water line under ground to each sprinkler.

Put wood chips on the track! Up here in Canada we have one of the best Motor cross track s in western Canada, Wood chips and water will knock your dust down significantly! Get the info from Ostacruiser!

Kevin's EZ dump truck to water truck conversion process. 1) Install heavy duty liner in dump bed and fill with water. 2) Find 30 hard-core psycho fans who will sign a waiver. 3) Put them all in the bed with Super-Soakers. *BAM WATER TRUCK* Done!

Leo's wheel covers remind me of what you see on a big rig. Just run the rims without wheel covers and ad some white lettering to your tires I think that would look way better. Race car rims don't stick out past the tire.

I have an idea for watering the track, why not put a sprinkler system on the inside of the track aimed at the track that you can just turn on and off? Then you have more control over how much water and could even make it a mud track

Set drip lines at ea high spot of the track. The moisture will wrk it’s way down slopes and driving on the track will distribut the moisture the rest of track.

Make a water truck out of screwed 1.5" carbon steel pipe and a piece of hose It is easy You can use the IBC plastic tank in a 1/2 ton Attach your pipe to a hitch and hook it to the tank with a hose All in you can make it for a couple of hundred dollars

get like 6 ibc tanks plastic with a forklift cage then get a hoseand a conector all pvc piping make a 6 into 1 tube and u got yourself a water truck most times u can get em for free those tanks or pay maybe 25 bucks a piece maybe a project of 300 bucks

You can get it very good running fire truck for $50-$80,000 that’ll pump water better than any water truck
