3 жыл бұрынWe didn't quite finish hanging the DIY sliding barn doors that we built (on our main Wild Wonderful Off Grid channel) BUT the snow is coming down fast, we are about to get buried in our first winter storm of the season and that means.... it's time to have some family fun!
There is nothing better than enjoying a crazy snow storm with your kids!

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while we building our own off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid". This channel is dedicated to short vlogs showing our life outside the build.

I'm 73, and live in NY. Most of my family is extended so I don't get to see them other then social media. Being isolated, I thank You for your video's. I've been a fan from almost the beginning. They are the living proof that this country still offers endless possibilities. You want to build your own house, and focus on your family? Go for it! Most people chooses the most convenient way, which is just to keep doing whatever you did before. But they had the courage for a huge change in their lives, and it seems to be really rewarding. If you have a reasonable dream, go for it!

My dad used to play with us (me and my brother) in the same way and we could never win. Until we got a little bigger and beat him playing soccer for the first time (needles to say we had to cheat hahahaha). Good old times!

Officially my favorite video. You brought this new grandfather to tears and a big smile....all at the same time. While we didn't get enough snow here in Manassas to make a snow man, we did get enough snow/ice to make for some good sledding for the neighborhood kids. Magical ! I'm 66 years old. I still regret rearranging the tree after my daughters did the decorations and then went to bed ! Just leave it !! Mom guilt stinks and it will teach them to trust their own design instincts ! 🎄🎄🎄

Wanted to tell you guys how much it means to us down here in Texas to see you guys having a great time as a family doing fun things in the snow etc.… My wife is 100% disabled and we can’t do much anymore (everything is in a wheelchair) but we’re older and these are some of the things that come along with it. So we really enjoy watching you guys and your family having a great time... it reminds us of our days when our kids were little. Thanks for letting us get to observe. The house build brought me here. That alone was entertaining. Fast forward a year and my wife and are now expecting our 1st child in 4 weeks. I'm truly grateful for the inspiration your family has opened my eyes to. I appreciate the hard work you have documented. The home you've built is a true inspiration and symbol of family love. I may not have the material, land, or money to build my own home. However, I will say your videos complete with song choices, editing, and presentation have given me the tools to imagine my own family as happy as yours one day. Great job, please keep building, sharing, inspiring, and smiling.

I've never had reason to smile because of a month-long battle with a slipped or bulging disc than while watching this. What an awesome memory you are all making. Hope you feel better soon. Broke my neck yrs back (lots of spinal surgeries n bone graphs) and ruptured 4 disc in L's too. Try Marcaine trigger point shots or what helped my lower back the most is, I get an Epidural shot every couple yrs. Stay positive, it will get better. ❤

These are the kind of memories that I'm sure a lot of families wish they had filmed so they could never have to forget. Love the tree in their house. God bless and Merry Christmas and always remember Jesus is reason for the season.
