I think people these days get married for the wrong reasons , like pressure from friends and society. I got married at 21 and my husband was 24 at the time, we’re now 7 years in with 2 kids(a boy and a girl). Honestly I would definitely do it again and it’s funny because we only dated for 6 months and boom 🤯 the ring, lobola, wedding, I didn’t even know if I wanted marriage or anything serious, but I knew I wanted to be with this guy everyday of my life. The most important thing is that God is everything in our marriage, and I know we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him.🌸

It's hard to follow all dreams to follow dreams when your married. Cause in some situations you need to compromise. You can't make some decisions alone. Unlike when you single. Not to say you can't achieve your dreams cays of marriage. It's a bit tricky compared to single people .

the red flags in dating get magnified to bigger ones in marriage... you need to learn to love yourself so you are not pouring from an empty cup.. do not rely on your significant other to give you the happiness you want, give yourself that happiness and allow them to complement it, then you will be even happier.. being married is challenging but also quite fulfilling, you need to constantly work on yourselves to make it work for each other.

Hi guy's, great topic. Great to have you again.....My X Fiance paid Lobola for me at the same age "22 years" we delayed getting married and i thank God for that. It was the best decision ever as we both were working in silo and not as a team and not as 1, not like a couple who is ready for marriage. We have a 7 year old Son and his Dad is not present at all, him not being present in our Son's life was the same way he was not present in our relationship as years progressed and it became worse when i fell preg. Marrying him would have been the biggest mistake of my life, glad things ended....not everyone has good intentions by quickly paying Lobola. It warms my heart hearing you guys say you would do it over and over again, God bless...love you guys!

One thing I've had from many Mmamoruti is that men are chilled and they don't really care. If you do the wife duties while you are a girlfriend, they don't see a need to make you a wife officially. That's something from your relationship. Steve Harvey says, 'One thing about us men, if we want something we gonna do everything to get it. Give us tjose principles. Ladies have those boundaries otherwise you will be a wife whilst you are a girlfriend in the eyes of everyone including God.'

Hey Gugu 👋 Would you possibly know why you can’t live together without getting married ? Is it a sin or something?
@gugulethukhoza92083 жыл бұрын
From the Christian point of view, in 1 Corinthians 7:9 "But if you cannot restrain your desires go ahead and marry, it is better to marry than to burn with passion". This word to me means if I am not married I should not fulfill my fleshy desires. I will qualify to fulfill those desires if I am married.

@tholwethu20743 жыл бұрын
Me too. I'm 31, and only this year I'm starting to get clarity about what I want in a partner. I am also more self-aware now and more assertive. I am also more observant of other people and their personalities which will help me decide if that person is for me or not. I remember at 29, i desperately wanted to get married, but God said nope. In retrospect, i am grateful for that NO.

@nhlanhlankosi52633 жыл бұрын
Honestly y'all are so lucky and blessed. I would've loved to get married young. At 28, I've had my fair share of struggles and pain when pertaining to relationships. I think marrying young, if it be the right person , saves you from so much pain and heartache and sometimes brokeness that you can never fully recover from. There are people out there who have horrible intentions, people who are wolves in sheeps clothing! The older you get, the worse it is and the more deceptive people you come across. I would encourage people to marry young and grow together with your spouse .. .
@eugeniyah80783 жыл бұрын
I get where you're coming from. Even though it's beautiful to marry young to grow in life and in love together as a team, it's also beautiful to marry later on in life as the more time you spend getting to know yourself, loving yourself, spending time with The Most High and figuring out and pursuing your purpose, the more clarity you receive when it comes to discerning the right person for you and getting marriage right the first time you do it. Because you know who you are, you automatically know who fits you and your purpose in life. Either way, the goal should be to marry right, regardless of the age.

Beautiful conversation. If it works when you're young it is absolutely great! If it doesn't, it becomes a mess... because when you're young, you have not fully discovered yourself. When you're older you can easily identify what you want from a partner & union. Ultimately, at whatever age marriage works when God is the core of that union.
@Munzhe3 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. One evolves as they grow older. If you marry young you should just be willing to commit to a person's growth because some partners mistaken evolving for changing.

Had such fun listening to this. I am 2 years into a new marriage and I am only 28, so I also married young'ish' at 26. I definitely echo what you say, rather build the career when you have the support system so you first learn how to sacrifice before pursuing your own interests. Sacrifice is important for someone who wants to get married as the two individuals are like two diaries that sometimes have clashing schedules and sacrifices have to be made on both ends. You learn an important lesson that transcends through your work and business. You go further when you go with a rigid support system than doing it alone and I learnt that.

Very true and I always commend someone who decides to wait for the right reasons to marry. I know someone who married after the age of 40. She’s so happy and I know someone who’s 30 years old and pressuring her boyfriend to marry her and their r.ship is toxic. So I think that people should understand what marriage is before getting into it.

😭 watching this right after ending things with someone I thought we would get to were you guys are. At that time I totally relate with what you're saying.
