we built a house a year ago for our family with our family. It was such a wonderful experience for all of the children to help with their house and see how the process works. it’s awesome seeing you guys do the same thing with your children. now my 15-year-old is helping his brother who is 23 with his house and it’s amazing what they learned my 15-year-old can do electrical work and many other things on his own.

My parents built quite a few houses when I was growing up, we’d live in them a few years, then sell and build another. My parents took every decision and task so seriously to make each home ours and beautiful. One of the houses my mom decided she wanted Italian tile and wanted to lay it herself. I was Lincoln’s age and still remember helping her through every single step of the process. I think that nothing frustrated me more than the last step of washing it with that sponge. It’s like you were doing so much work and making no progress because you look back and the tile you JUST washed is cloudy again! 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ anyway, she was so proud of that tile work, we all were. Putting your own blood, sweat, and tears into your own home building process makes you appreciate it so much more. You guys have done a wonderful job, it’s all beautiful!

This video from beginning to end made me smile! I’ve said this for years you guys have good kids. Sure they may act up here there but they’re kids, but to see them work like that and not be mad about know they were eager too help and that says a lot of how you and Joel have raised them... Job well done guys, be proud of your home because not many kids can say they had a hand in their home being built. This they will remember for the rest of their lives... It was so nice to see Olivia, Cody, Boston and Lincoln helping with the house. They are great helpers. My Mom said my Grandpa did alot of remodeling back in his day. My Mom, Uncle and Aunt enjoyed helping him and was proud that they helped. They learned alot. Now I am learning from my Mom. I also learned alot from my Dad but he passed away March 11, 2021. We have great memories of my Dad working on projects.

You should make a video telling us what bands and music you enjoy and listen to the most. Everyone in the family should say their favourite 5 songs. I love knowing what other people listen to.

I have loved their series so much and get so excited every time a new video goes up! I remember my parents doing an addition onto our house and many renovation projects in our first family home along with the core memories made. My childhood home recently went up for sale and my mom and I went to see it. What a wild, memory filled day that was. The fact that you have all this documented is event better.

Yes Bonnie !! The dyson vacuums aren’t made the same after they sold the company. The best vacuum out there is Miele!

We too are HUGE music people. And I also didnt really care about the speakers when we built our house. That was all my husband. And let me tell you…it’s my FAV! I use it every single day. LOVE it. So glad you guys did that. Your house is so beautiful. Can’t wait to see all the fun decor and tours.

Beautiful home and many congratulations. FYI we had a Dyson and then issues with our carpet. While the carpet was clearly a manufacturing issue the warranty was voided because we used a Dyson on it. With all the tile you may want to look for a good quality canister vacuum so you don't scratch the gorgeous tile.

I have that same vacuum by Dyson. We’ve had it for years. Listen after a couple times of giv8ng the house a going over, take the filter out & give it a good wash. Just be sure it really dry before you put it together.

We have a Shark and my daughter absolutely loves it. No problems at all and half the price of Dyson. About 250.00

I had the DC05 , we replaced it with the Animal 2 dyson ball i think it is just as good except the soft brush isn't a standard alone tool anymore. The old one is now our shop vac.
