We had to go to the top of a mountain to find things weve never seen before

Dug up some things metal detecting we have not seen before at the to of this mountain. A colonial era cellar hole sits atop this small Mt. in NH where the farm has been deserted since the early 1800s. What makes it really interesting is there was also a hunting cabin here in the 1930's - 1940's so there is a good mix of stuff in the ground, like the wheat pennies we found and bottles from the depression era. Near the cellar hole a 1798 US large cent was dug up below the rocks that have tumbled down from the walls slowly falling down though the years. Some old clothing buttons, spoons, tools and other random oddities. And let us not forget to mention the grommets ! that's why we call it grommet mountain. A great day of metal detecting relic hunting with a bit of exploring and awesome finds and old coins . My favorite find was a Washing DC District of Columbia transit toke from the 1930s.

Bottle is a Colgate and co perfume bottle circa 1900. They were in New York. Yes it became the Colgate-palmolive evently. Originally, they made toiletries and apparently candles 🕯

My guess on the token: Washington Railway and Electric Co. Electric or Capital Traction Co. streetcars which ran until 1962. Finding the large cent was amazing!

Suggestion for Waynos. You may think this is silly but if you take 1 garlic supplement per day it will drastically help with the bugs. It takes about 3 months of consistently taking it before it builds up in your blood stream. Supposed to be good for your heart as well

That's a good picture with all the grommets. I have found a lot but never that many in one area. Good hunt! I have found that same transit token in Iowa! Very cool!

I looked up that bottle and it's a Colgate perfumer bottle and made these in 1915-1987 and use them in drug stores. that token is used for buses, trains and subways and I found one of those and it's a Rochester Subway token from the 1930's.
