Been Binge watching since I found your KZfaq channel, and am loving the excitement that you are experiencing. As a young boy growing up in New Jersey on the Delaware River and watching ships going up and down the river to Philadelphia and ports all around the world. I dreamed of building a boat and sailing around the world and then I found out that I get very seasick at about 14 years age and did not heave access to the funding to continue the dream. As I got older, I discovered medications to resolve the seasickness issues. I married the love of my life after college and the Marine Corps, and took my wife on a number of cruises. She loved the cruises but was not keen on building or buying a boat as she was basically a woman who loved her family and wanted a nice home, etc. nearby family. We took numerous camping trips and traveled half way across the USA, but none of the trips lasted more than 3 1/2 weeks, and she was ready to head back home to her safe place. I am vicariously living through your travels, sails, boats etc. and am happy to see that the two of you are living your dream to the max. Take care, fair winds and keep the videos coming.

Never apologize for reaping the rewards of hard work. I have been continually amazed at your willingness AND ability to take on very hard projects, which I really doubted could be done, but, here we are. I have an immense amount of respect for you. When I say "you," I mean a great combo of man and woman with a common purpose. Mucho respect and LOVE. Never apologize or feel the need to explain or justify your karmic fruits. Love you both.

Interesting how four of favourite vlogs (‘Sailing Nahoa’, Matt & Jessica, the Wynns and you guys) are all in different phases of getting very different brand new catamarans. I can understand the different phases of excitement from “Can I do this?” to “Oh my God it’s finally happening!”. I myself ordered a new car months ago and have just got the thrilling news that it will be delivered over two months early... imagine what that’s like with something ten times more expensive which is transportation, home and livelihood all rolled into one! Keep us updated; Teach Jetty to edit, if you have to!

A 1170 huh man I love it, the long roof is a major game changer for me an anyone living a board because the sun is awsome but it's hot and it's a huge help for weather, looks like this is perfect as a hosting or live aboard boat, has tons of open space an then all the living stuff is below safe out of the way but set up super nice with room below also, I really like this layout with how it proportioned, Please give us a run down tour of the boat once your settled an had some time to enjoy it

I had just bought my Allegra 24 Full keel blue water boat and wondering if people can live on a boat that size. Turns out you can and Bill showed me that. I’m so proud of you kids. I’m old enough to be your parents but I feel that I learned so much from you kids. Being a Farmboy from Indiana I knew nothing about Sailing or Sailboats. I was here from the start and seeing you hit 200k subscribers and now take ownership of a new Cat is amazing. Billy that little sailboat Tula you called home took you to Florida to meet an amazing woman that shared your love for adventure. 9 Years later, several boats and many adventures you just bought a new Cat that most can only dream of owning with the best woman ever. Love the nav station update and the bow sprit ❤ the 1160 was already the best cat of its size and the 1170 seems the have retained the features and intelligent design that won it so many loyal fans in the first place, all while solving the few issues they had (our nav station down in the hull isn’t great for actual nav, but is reasonable for the hubby to write/do computer work while I take over the saloon table or visa versa; and yes I would LOVE more head space in the berths, but as new wasn’t in our budget we make do and are grateful for the headboard lining when we inevitability get a bump). I’m glad they didn’t lose all the timber too (your galley feels a bit more like ours, like a home, not an IKEA apartment - we know our timber slows us down a bit but it makes me so happy and it feels so much like a home that I don’t mind and we’re still routinely out sailing much larger cats anyway so it doesn’t seem to make a big difference). Can’t wait for the full walk through of the details of the changes/updates ~SV Avalon Spirit
