This is why I think Archie rejected Betty in s1: He didn’t want to ruin their friendship over a relationship, esp since he didn’t feel it back, AT THE TIME. Reasons: 1. He told Betty that “he would never be good enough for her” 2. He told Betty the reason he rejected her was he thought it would be better in the long run 3. He didn’t have anyone else in his life, Betty was his best, and pretty much only real friend at the time 4. He didn’t have feelings for Betty at the time and didn’t want to hurt her even more by pretending 5. But then he DID have feelings for her, and tried to tell her but she cut him off, since she started dating Jughead 6. He always looked jealous of Jughead 7. The phone calls/messages 8. The looking out of the window thing 9. The pictures Anything else I’m missing?? They are screaming slowburn endgame to me, and if the writers are too scared to make it happen I’m gonna be VERY disappointed.

I honestly feel so bad for Archie bc he looked really hurt by Betty. And Betty definitely Betty influenced him to do the Navy Academy. Archie just wants to get over from being heartbroken by leaving Riverdale. Honestly not to be mean, but I don't think Archie loves Veronica anymore, but I think Betty loves Jughead and that's the problem. Like Veronica said, "They are soulmates". And Archie never even reacted. He was just jealous. This isn't the end for Barchie bc she doesn't burn one of the diaries which means a part of her will always love Archie. Betty is just too afraid to explore with Archie because she already feels safe with Jughead despite her saying she feels safe with him (Archie). She knows things are changing and that's why she doesn't want to change things between her and Jug. Can't wait for the next episode! Hopefully they will get some time together like Archie getting closure or something idk

I'm still happy with this episode because it means that their love is slowly building up. It would have been weird if they got together right away, there are still statements to make. Showing jealousy, now that we know they're thinking about each other. Show that even though they're fighting their feelings keep getting bigger and bigger and they can't beat them. Show that their love is greater than other couples. Let's not forget that barchie is the forbidden romance. And it's the right way for them to be together in the end. We'll have even more material to appreciate them and the others can only recognize that these two are meant to be together and that it's not just a little girl's fantasy.

I finally realised the only thing that keeps me watching this show is for BARCHIE! I honestly don’t care about the over the top storylines on drugs, cults and gangs, I just love the story of these two! Veronica and jughead are far more interesting on their own adventures too! But Archie is more interesting as a character whenever he’s around Betty! Betty is my favourite character but Jughead is far more her co worker than her ‘endgame’ season 5s main storyline better be Archie and Bettys journey and how they find each other- ENDGAME

as much as I love Bughead I've always shipped Barchie and I can tell that they still love eachother by when they both said that they cant stop thinking about each other. I can tell that Jughead and Veronica will find out about the kiss and breakup and then Barchie will come again. They just don't wanna hurt Jug and Veronica. The writters have been teasing us about Barchie, the way they look at each other, the first kiss in season 2, the "pretending", and then this!, but mainly their chemistry its so beautiful so they are endgame, this is my opinion so no hate on me your just wasting your time.

Honestly they bring out the best in each other and the strength/courage they give each other makes me speechless. I’m sure they’re end game or should be endgame because they literally need each other to survive. Compared to their current relationships barchie just trusts each other more and find comfort with one another. Archie is literally leaving and didn’t even think about Veronica for one second during this episode.

*sigh* i’m just gonna say this and leave it at that, it bothers me that Bughead and varchie fans are quick to say this and that about if Barchie (Betty &Archie) ends up together there gonna stop watching the show or just with the negative comments in my opinion that’s called toxic straight up there but, I am a fair person myself so I took it upon myself to watch a “Bughead” edit and i’m not a hater so i can say i enjoyed it but the thing i noticed was no one in the comments gave reasons on why they are endgame... and the video has over 2M views but then here’s all the Barchie edits under a million views and i see paragraph after paragraph about why they are endgame and they actually make sense! Overall I believe Varchie and Bughead fans are falling to realize they just like the idea of those couples together... i know betty cheated and that was wrong but it’s not the worst betty not being herself around jughead sucks i see it when she’s around Archie it’s a totally different story Passion, Chemistry, The friendship we all wish we had sometimes... ugh i’m rambling but you get it... Betty and Archie are not dating... but they are ENDGAME. ❤️
