Long term booking is always best for business, and kudos to Triple H for implementing that. Vince Russo's greatest contribution was giving most wrestlers a story that would play out over weeks and longer. AEW lit a fire under them too. Some of my fav moments from the AA era were wrestlers jumping ship between WCW and WWE. We need an AEW for this to happen, so I'm glad they exist and want them to do well. TK doesn't seem to know what he's doing though, but there's a blueprint he can follow from WWE, storyline wise.

And people always act like thats a bad thing with TK. The actual bad thing with TK is that he hasnt gotten a strong right hand to do all the things he doesnt want to/isnt able to. Besides, Tony seems like hes extremly business savy. He knows what he does with the money, he invests alot in infrastructure and other long term projects, makes excellent signings. What he actually isnt, is a boss who can put his foot down when needed. Especially not for a locker room filled with egomaniacs (and with that i mean wrestlers... in general). But he earns millions every year by leading and holding more than one company. But he also does it for only about 4 years. Im quite sure everybody sucks as head booker 4 years into being in the industry. And its maybe because i watch about 3 wrestling shows a year in total, but he hasnt been egregious either.

PPVs broke the mold this year. Like you said, there's no longer big 4 or 5 ppvs anymore, though we do treat it like there still are those. Plus, there's less matches in each ppv now, more quality over quantity. Sure, it's less opportunities for those who aren't doing much, but they have that time in Television or segments in between.

"Fans don't want an alternative. Maybe they don't want WWE to suck." Well, as much as alternatives are good, I can at least confirm the second half. I've been a fan since the Attitude Era, left during high school (2008-09) and came back during the build of Crown Jewel 2022, so over a decade of not following the WWE. And now, I'm damn near as hooked as before. Wrestling fans, especially WWE fans, never fall out of love with it; the product needs to have the quality behind it for them to stay.

Same here. Even at its worst I still watched WWE in the hope they would improve, because there was just not any alternative out there ( there was a short time, when I mostly watched TNA around 2007-10). I was kinda hopeful for AEW, but I never really liked what they did there so even when a lot of my favorite wrestlers went there, I still preferred WWE over them (mostly NXT). And of course I am happy that WWE has improved so much that I can actually enjoy watching it in the meantime. I always wanted them to go back to long-term storytelling because that's what I kinda grew up with, and to see that happen right now is extremely gratifying.

Over 1000 days is mad impressive in itself. Also, wrestling today is way more story driven. The storybeats are not in place to get 4 more years, the storybeats are in place to have him lose in the next year. He lost grip over all his "possessions" but the title. No Tribal Chief if (most of) your tribe has left you or you expelled them before. And, this entire video is about how HHH is able to give attention to more than 2 guys at max or doesn't feel like an ADD kid in a toyshop losing focus every few second because theyve found something bigger, newer and cooler

I do think current WWE is competing with the Golden Age and Attitude Era for the best entertainment value for their product. Despite how much I personally loved the Ruthless Aggression era, the roster is currently as deep if not more than the early 2000s and unlike that time it doesn't seem like a special treat when a popular, talented wrestler gets a push. Historically, it was a big deal when guys like Eddie Guerrero, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, etc. got the title because they spent so much time on inconsistent booking based on getting to Vince's personal goals instead of organically moving with the crowd's wishes. Now we've got basically every belt, depending on how you feel about Logan Paul and Roman Reigns, on talented wrestlers that the _whole_ crowd wants to see. Because while Vince's approach was ideal for creating a Hulk Hogan-style "star who holds the whole show on his back," the more naturalistic approach we've seen under HHH makes the whole show more watchable rather than concentrating all the booking effort into just the main event singles title feud.

I think Damien should cash-in after Mania if anything, just cause Seth vs Punk for the WHC at Mania would definitely be too good to pass up and it would elevate that title a lot. They really need to build Damien up more and I think him putting his briefcase on the line and retaining it at Mania would do him wonders, maybe against Orton or even someone from Smackdown like AJ styles, so he can get that WrestleMania moment without interfering with the storyline between Seth and Punk.

Damian Priest would be an excellent choice to cash in on the main event of Night 1. Right now, Seth vs Punk looks like the likely direction for the WH title, and there's no universe where Roman defends on any night but night 2. So you have Seth and Punk engage in a hellacious match, then you have JD rush the ring, Priest cashes in, JD uses the advantage of no-DQ under triple threat rules to beat down Seth and Punk, then hit a series of finishers to have Priest effectively steal the title. This sets up an eventual confrontation between Priest and Balor; I somehow doubt Balor's pride would allow him to play second fiddle to Priest for very long. (I also think Dominik dropping the NA title and chasing the US title for a bit would be a cool angle; have him fail to capture it off of Logan Paul for a while before maybe capturing it sometime post-Mania. And along the way, for the love of god, give Dominik his own finisher. I don't care what it is at this point, just SOMETHING. This sets up the eventual implosion of Judgement Day with Balor and Priest feuding for the WH title, with Rhea and Dom maybe going off on their own. Honestly, those two have such *insane* chemistry that they could genuinely play the part of a power-couple, constantly helping each other in matches while being successful in their own right. If WWE had a mixed-tag division, Rhea and Dom would be dominating it. I'd be very hesitant to break them up; Dominik generates nuclear heat just by holding a microphone, meanwhile Rhea Ripley is just a badass.

I was talking this over with a friend in regards to CM Punk returning and not mentioning AEW in his return promo. This is not a dig at punk in any regard. Here is my analogy. Follow me It’s like when a couple that was doing really good but things went sour and they had to split. They both went on to live their lives, one went on, lost a few friends along the way,and got together with another lover, and they talked bad about their ex with so much passion and vigor while they were in a new relationship. But then, the recent relationship went sour as well, for whatever reason, and that relationship ended. They ended up getting back with their former lover. With the experiences they acquired that time away, that lover matured. And realizing they are where they want to be now, nothing negative is left to be said to anyone. With all that is happened with Punk and WWE, the lawsuits the bashing, the pod casts etc. CM Punk may have realized that he’s truly home now. And nothing is left to be said. Even though Punk didn’t mention AEW in his promo, him doing that spoke volumes to me. It spoke a million words.

He wanted to do this back when he was in the Authority and made that speech about giving the fans what they want...but Vince still had too much of a grip on WWE so shat all over those plans. With Vince out of the way (at least for the most part), WWE can finally be great again. HHH is my all time fav followed by Undertaker & CM Punk. But I have to agree, WWE doesn't need CM Punk. A few years ago like in 2020 and especially prior they definitely did. But now he's just a luxury not a necessity. Honestly I think I've experienced the best of Phil's wrestling career in ECW & 2011 - 2013 WWE. Even 2009 with Hardy. So if this doesn't work out I'm fine. Will probably just go back and watch his ROH years.

Triple H really needs to change the design of the men's tag team titles. The brand split is no longer a thing since the belts are unified so please get rid of those blue and red straps and change the gladiator theme. I miss how the titles looked in the ruthless aggression era

Regardless of the financials and how much I appreciate Triple H for bringing Punk back and booking more interesting talent, I think we need to pump the brakes on this being the “hottest era since the attitude era”. The product, a lot of the time, is still miserable. The crowds are dead on Monday night. I was watching wrestling back in 2004-2005 (not the attitude era) and the response for a midcard match was still as good/better than most main events. They have done a very good job with booking their top baby faces, but they are struggling with legitimate heels/midcard/women’s wresting due to having too stuffed of a roster. Without a doubt, it’s a better product than AEW, but they still have a lot of work to do.

Triple H was a great wrestler and he knows how a wrestler's mind and the business works. His best friend (Shawn) was also problematic and had a huge ego, so he gets it. He understands very well that people can change. Paul has also been a huge supporter of the idea that no matter where WWE wrestlers go, WWE is always gonna be their home. Yes, this is also smth Vince said, but Vince looked at it all from the business side, while Paul also looks at it from a human side. Great to have him there. I mean, I started watching WWE again after 11 years, and that's not for no reason.

In my opinion, Roman’s reign (no pun) has been great, everything he did felt big. But I’ve started to sense a pattern that makes even me want him to lose the belt. Wins a big match, goes MIA Comes back on Smackdown, Acknowledge me, Big match, MIA Comes back, big match, MIA

I think the best way to revitalize the womens tag team division is to make it viable for nxt stars to contend for them since it would help show off developmental talent and also get new tag titles since they look like they were by a 4 year old that first learn to spell

We have so many credible main eventers that can be world champions compared to the Super Cena era: 1. Roman Reigns 2. Seth Rollins 3. Cody Rhodes 4. Kevin Owens 5. Sami Zayn 6. "Main Event" Jey Uso 7. Finn Balor 8. LA Knight 9. Gunther 10. Damian Priest CM Punk and Randy Orton are a given but they are from a generation before
