Yes teach your boys to keep trash cans in the bathroom for the convenience of their female companions. Yes teach your girls to bring along an emergency bag so that they can bring their tampons out of the bathroom and throw it in the kitchen trash. Sanitary pads of course come with a convenient little plastic cover that you can roll them up into. We as humans in general need to do better, flushing a tampon is not an emergency solution, it's a bad choice. I understand that it would be embarassing to have to ask someone at the party for help on such a situation, which is why teaching them to be prepared is so important. In an absolute emergency situation, what you could do is squeeze out all the excess blood from the tampon into the toilet, then roll it in some toilet paper, wash your hands thoroughly, and then it should be dry enough to hold while you bring it to the kitchen trash. It's not pretty but you gotta do what you gotta do, better than having a plumber have to deal with it. The sign was hilarious and ridiculous though XD

Good advice and I agree that young men should learn the value of having a trash can in the bathroom. However, it ain't just the guys that have issues. I've worked for some big companies and I usually wound up talking to the folks (mostly female) that clean the bathrooms. The question of which bathrooms were worse always came up and the answer was always the same. The women's bathrooms would sometimes have feces or used toilet paper on the floor (or walls!) and it was just disgusting. And these bathrooms had nice, large trash receptables (though the debris should probably have been flushed down the toilets. Mens restrooms, no problem. These were large buildings with multiple bathrooms and supposedly professionals using them (no customers were using them). These weren't 18,19 and 20yr olds. These were adult women.
@jengsci82685 күн бұрын
@rons3634 - I have cleaned both of these in office buildings and in bars. It has been my experience that women mostly leave a lot more clutter from disposable hand towels, whereas men hardly any used even in the wastebasket. But bodily fluids were more prevalent in the men's room. And I'm not talking about just urine. Other things from that orifice, and for some reason they also like to spit loogies on the floors and walls. Either way, dirty bathrooms are gross.

Did you watch the video? In order to properly dispose of tampons andcsanitary napkins, there needs to be a trashcan. Failing that, women often will flush them. Used tampons are not like empty soda cans. You can't just pit them aside to toss later. Nor can you stick them in your pocket. The point of the video was that the tenants could have solved the problem by providing a trash can in the bathroom. Of course young women should be taught to dispose of sanitary ware properly. Tampons don’t break down so they should never be flushed. You know how they’re absorbent? If you flush a tampon, what it does is absorb all that water in the sewer pipe, expands (because that’s what happens when something absorbs water), and then blocks all the poop, toilet paper, and dirty water from passing by. Similar to how a dam works in a river. If you flush tampons, it’s not a matter of whether the poop will back up into the house, it’s a matter of when. It depends on how far the tampon made it before it completely expanded.
