remember when using the lift , lift the vehicle about a foot off the ground and give it a shake test from the rear to make sure its not gonna tip forward

I have that same lift, about 2 years now and no problems. Fabricated a beam (used I beam) that runs on top connecting the two beams and that eliminated all the flex. Also put the harbor freight gantry on the I beam and that made pulling engines out easy!

Ok, so as someone that installs lift on a regular basis I always use 5/8 anchors and torque them to 150 ft pounds in 6 inches of concrete. I also use ATF for fluid not hydraulic oil. The cables are not load bearing they are only there to make it go up evenly. When raising the lift with no load you should be able to hear the locks click at the same time. Make sure you adjust the cables accordingly. Always rest the weight on to the locks. Just don't want to be safe. Also make sure you get a annual inspection and make sure there is a gold sticker making sure it is certified. Most cheap lifts don't meet building codes and if there happens to be a failure insurance won't cover it and they home owner can be charged with manslaughter if someone is to die. Do it the right way and Goodluck. Love watching you guys!

Not sure who told you to use transmission fluid instead of hydraulic fluid for car lifts, but that's wrong. You have to check what the manufacturer recommends because it could void the warranty if it's not the proper grade.

Nifty, I sure wish I had one of those ! A place to install one is my only problem. I'd run a bar(square tube steel) across the top anyway, regardless of anchor depth/strength. Its just the basic physics of how it would fail. The height is whatever the height of the posts are so, there is virtually NO benefit whatsoever to that design, aside from saving a few feet of hose & cable etc. Leave it to China to leverage that fact. 🤪Of course there is very little to do if any part of the arms were to ever fail, aside from a few backup screw jacks, like you mentioned. But they'd probably have to be custom AF just to be high enough & would only ever be in the way.

Also you guys are braver than me for getting under that lift immediately after that sketchy install lol I’ve worked under some really sketchy lifts but idk if they’ve ever been that bad. Did you say how much the lift cost in a previous video? I’m gonna finally get one at home in the new pole barn garage I’m getting put up so I don’t have to go to work to fix my stuff anymore

I prefer the lifts with the cross bar at the top, for 2 reasons, Stability, and ease of working on the floor with no obstacles. Get you a magnetic laser level and stick it on the post to see if it the post moves under a lifting procedure. The laser dot on the ceiling should stay in place! Also, get your locks calibrated so they lock together on the way up, the clanking sound. That way when your rest the cars weight back down on the locks, it will be level and stable!. You will definitely need lights under the car to see, but they will be in your eyes if they are low on the wall. Just get some roll around floor lights. ;) Had my 2 post lift for a couple years now. Had it professionally installed cause I am old. :) Best investment I have done in a long long time!

Having used lifts for years, I’ve never seen a left flex like that. Clearly it’s cheap. The base plate looks small and thin to what I’m used to seeing. Garage concrete I wouldn’t trust. Generally only around 4” and may not be the strong concrete you need. I’ve seen it done where people cut out a large area where they plan to put their lift, dig down deeper, reinforce and use strong Cement. It is not a lift I would trust with my life.

And the concrete guys were probably full of beans. No one would poor a 1 inch thick floor and cut relief joints in it. Besides when you drill the holes, go down until you're through the pad. Probably about 4 or 5 inches. At any rate, the floor is fine for what you're doing.

If you are hearing impaired I wouldn’t mind doing a couple comments and doing cc’s with time captions maybe do like each 20 seconds of the video I’ve never done it before so it might not be perfect but if it would help you out I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot.

@@stepheneggert7388 1.bad welds. This problems is very important. It is unforgivable for lift manufacturer. Different lift, we have different weldingfixture. Maybe your previously manufacturer do not use weldingfixture, or novice. Automatic welds robot is necessary. Our factory have 5 welds worker. have long time experience and are very professional. Welds worker have worked in our factory for 20 years. We never change welds worker,Raise salary twice a year. because they are doing well. 2.Metal thickness and quality of metal. Our factory metal from Fortune Global 500 "ansteel group". Include Hot rolled, square steel pipe, plates of middle thickness,Round steel and Checkered Steel Plate. Metal thickness is very important. Include lift arm and Carriage square steel pipe thickness, post Hot rolled thickness,etc... The easiest way to tell the quality of a lift is by the weight of a lift eg our 1,1000 2 post lift weigh over 900kg there are many 2 post lifts on the market that weight 500kg or less so with less steel used in the manufacturing of the lift they are cheaper to make but are more prone to flexing.
