This past weekend Matt and I tackled the installation of the Unitronic Downpipe on my 2019 Audi RS3. Along with upgraded injectors, this will allow me to switch from my current Stage 1+ E85 tune to Unitronic's Stage 2 E85 tune and pull even more power out of the stock turbo!

Hey brother, just wanted to make sure you're aware that mostly everyone considers the stage 2 e85 file from unitronic "motor unsafe" as you're past the 500wtq limit that Iroz puts on the rods/bearings. As a fellow RS 3 owner, nothing would hurt me more then another car bending rods on an e85 file! Stay safe and have fun!

Hey bro so would u recommend stage 2 94oct file or a stage 1+e85 file for reliability purposes, both unitronic I’ve heard they are most reliable also killed this platform. Thx

The clips are alot easier to get off if u take a small flat head screwdriver in one of the holes and just screw it off! Now you know! :D

Amazing video! I just install mine, however I hear my downpipe hitting the chassis mainly when its cold and sometimes running, do you know if I can adjust somewhere or should I replace any support? thanks

OMG, what a PITA that is,downpipe on my 22 supra took me an hour and all i had to remove was the intake.I just pick an used 2020 RS3 and this looks too crazy for me so ima leave the stock one there for eternity and beyond!

Great video man! Sounds good! How’s the Rasp with the downpipe? I have the Awe track exhaust with the iroz Downpipe and Midpipe and I’m thinking about switching to the Unitronic Downpipe and Midpipe.

I really feel that the Cat helps with the tone over a non catted DP. I hear little to no WG rattle and I'd say there isn't any noticeable rasp. The note is sharper than the factory DP but still has a "rounded sound" and I think it sounds near perfect.

It would be nice if they made a 2 piece down pipe so you could possibly put it on without removing the driveshaft and just cut the stock one off.. not sure it that would work but this seems like a big project for a down pipe but I’m sure totally worth it

How's the RS3 doing since going stage 2 E85? Thinking of going stage 2 on my 2020 RS3 myself, but concerned with reliability on stock engine. Currently running Unitronic stage1 E85.

Hi, firstly thanks for this awesome video but please can you do some driving videos so can hear this exhaust on turbo load :) i currently have a de-catted downpipe but im changing to the uni one at Christmas. Do you get a ticking noise from the waste gate with this downpipe installed ? thanks

ticking noise is the same as factory with the uni downpipe. much much better than a non catted, but much quieter as well

Wouldn't it be easier for you to take the downpipe from up top? Instead of taking your exhaust and driveshaft off . I think you'll have enough space to get it out when you take out from top, I heard you just take the turbo out and you'll have enough space to bring it up.

Sounds AMAZING! Did this throw a CEL? I’m planning on going Stage 2 but will need to remove my tune and go back to stock for emissions.

@@clos2070 Readiness testing will pass if you select their tune that says uni downpipe and not just downpipe … passes emissions w/o issues

@@rodcollier it passes readiness with the Uni DP and their tune on e85, S3 tte777 FBO. it throws a powertrain P0420 CEL ovassionally but still passed after clearing

Hi! I'm looking for a deeper growl with an aftermarket downpipe, I also want to avoid the raspy metal sounds that come with some decat downpipes. It's really hard to understand the sound from the videos. Just wanted to ask your opinion on uni downpipes + midpipes with stock catback. Do you think it would sound decent?

It will sound a touch louder and deeper, but in my opinion the best setup for these cars for the best sound is a catted DP, mids, and a good cat back.

How was the AWE track exhaust with the OEM downpipe. I have midpipes on my car rn and wanting it a little louder. Did it make a difference? or is the biggest difference with a dpipe?

I wanted to get that downpipe for my TTRS but software for stage 2 is no longer available from APR so I had to settle for stage 1 plus what software are you using and is there a big difference in power gain for stage 2 that would make it worth all the work?

I'm running Uni ECU/TCU tunes. I think its worth the work and cost for what it adds across the power curve; the car is noticeably quicker. This hardware route also works for me down the road should I choose to go with a hybrid setup on E85 with a built motor. I would have to get injectors and a down pipe regardless on anything above Stg 1+ E85.

Bro I’m planning on doing the same thing. Go from stage 1+ to 2 unitronic. Have the dp already, injectors. Are you going change the fuel pump ?

The four bolts for the subframe and the three for the rear of the driveshaft.

Alot of people are pulling the downpipe up through the engine bay so no need to take the shaft out

There isn't a ton to begin with but I didn't notice a reduction or increase between Stg1+ E85 and Stg2 E85

19x9.5 all around with et43 up front and et45 in the rear. Tires are Michelin PS4S 255/30/19
