We left ALASKA for KAUAI, Hawaii (Too COLD!)

We knew that we were going to need a break from the INSANELY COLD Alaska winter. SOOO we booked 9 days on Kauai to give us a chance to thaw out!
My wife (Ashley) and I (Jameson) decided to leave our home in San Diego, California and DRIVE to Anchorage, Alaska in order to be closer to her brothers Adam and Justin who are affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. We will be living in Alaska for the foreseeable future in our 34" Grand Design Solitude RV and are looking forward to sharing EVERYTHING with all of you including but not limited to:
- RV Tour and our favorite features!
- A look at our custom 2019 F-350
- Learning about DMD and talking with Adam and Justin
- Mod and review videos for all of our upgrades
- Everyday struggles
- Wildlife and adventures!
- Camera gear and workflows
- everything else!!!

The shot near the beginning of the video is the location where they filmed the scene from Jurassic Park where we first see the dinosaurs. The scene with the gallimimus is one of the only scenes not filmed on Kauai though; they filmed it on Oahu. Unfortunately, Oahu visitors seem to think the whole movie was filmed on Oahu when it was really only about 1:00. Great videography and really shows a lot of the island!

Great video and the narration was perfect along with the amazing cinematography. The film made me want to check out all the hikes and paddle around on the kayaks in Kauai. I've never been. Keep up the good work. Hope all is well back in Alaska.

My second winter here outside of Anchorage. Overcrowded, traffic, Winter sucks. Must be a snowbird. There are no roads like in British Columbia. Winter road conditions are terrible, like driving on hockey ice. They do a terrible job of making the roads safe to drive on. Everyone has all studded tires in winter. Hunting sucks, must have a boat or plane to access this state. Like i said, if you live here, figure out how to leave in winter without losing your residency. Winter sucks and its long. Anchorage is a shit place too.

Take me back!!! 😭 I‘ll take my 8,000 mosquito bites all over again to be back in paradise with some of my favorite people. The shave ice scene makes me almost as emotional as the end. Not sure what that says about me as a person 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Also, how did we end up not filming any roosters?? I expected them to be photobombing every shot. 🤣
