WE LEFT IT ON FOR 10 DAYS...(GROSS RESULTS) BlueAir Pure Fan Review

We tried the Blue Pure Fan from BlueAir and left it on for 10 days! Here's what we found.
We are located in Arleta, CA. To add more context to this video, during the time we tested this out, when we left it on for 10 days, we went out of town and found these results. We had just moved into a room that people were renting out to s and we found out after filming, that in the year that they were living in the house, they hadn't changed the air filter O_O -- We later saw their home air filter in the trash and it was FILTHY. So that definitely could have played a part in the results!

Hello! How is the noise level for this fan (especially on the 3rd setting) and the power of each setting? My current fan is pretty loud that it often prevents me from hearing the TV clearly without putting the volume way up, but it's very powerful. I'm worried that this fan will either be quiet but not produce powerful air flow or produce powerful air flow but is loud. Thank you in advance for your feedback! :D

Very low! Not at all disruptive and still a powerful air purifier in my opinion.

Glad it works! That’s an insane amount for just 10 days though, and you’re supposed to change every 6 months?! Do you regularly change your AC filter and vacuum?

Because of allergies and the dust, we do vacuum regularly! However we were renting a room in a home where the owners hadn’t yet changed the filter in the year they lived there (it was eventually changed after this video, and there was lootsssss of dust!) So that makes sense!

@@eattryunbox If you press the button so it is on, then unplug it, plug it back in, does it turn on by itself? I am just wondering if I can plug it into a timer.

@@waifuNetwork I think it remains off if it's unplugged, so once it's plugged back in, you might have to tap it back on. I'm away from home so can't check real time atm!

@@retrocast9848 it remains turned off if unplugged and replugged in. You’ll have to turn it back on again.

Awesome! Thanks for the vid. Not a lot of quality reviews out yet for this. Do you mind me asking an idea where you are located? Do you generally have good or bad air? I have a blueair 411 and I get the same darkening of the white plastic. I think it’s just catching some oily pollutants as air flows through some of the cracks. I usually give it a wipe with a cloth with rubbing alcohol and it comes right off.

I have been using air filtration systems for 20 years and they do not get that dirty in 10 days. Where did you have it?

At the time this video was filmed we had just rented a room in someone’s home. When we finished the trial of using the air filter, we found out the homeowners hadn’t changed the house air filter in two years. Shortly after our experiment, they changed it and it… was… filthy!

Good video. But I still don't know how powerful it is and how quiet it is on the highest setting.

It’s quite powerful still on the highest setting, we usually keep it on the middle or high setting, and it’s not loud or disruptive at all.

Absolutely cools the room, which is why we bought it! Our room is so hot. This is a nice fan and air purifier.

The blue fabric pre-filter is supposed to go on the outside of the back of the fan to catch the dust. It’s not an “extra”. 😆. Your fan would be much less dirty if you use it.

Thanks for your feedback! We later found that it indeed was an extra/replacement pre-filter. The original one it arrived with was the grey, and the additional one was the blue :)
