We left our island home of Siargao. Since the destruction from Typhoon Odette, we've witnessed first hand how big the storm really was. But how far did the damage go?
On this day we board a boat for Surigao city to see our friend Kuya Jun Jun and he takes us on a tour full of hope and beauty & we rediscover the magic of the Philippines!
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel's mum & Story's grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.

Every time I see Poppy and how healthy and strong and beautiful she is I just think how absolutely wonderful and kind it was of you guys to take her in. She was in such bad shape, highly doubtful she would have made it. And to take a stray in with diseases and mange etc I dunno...I would have been afraid to touch her. And especially since you have a child in the mix. But you did and it's really beautiful to see. What a life she has been gifted.

For us Surigaonons we called that place nobenta because of the 90 degree view and road you get passing there. Always an awe to see that place, how much more when those mountains are filled with trees.

It's great to see Junjun safe and healthy. Poppy was uncomfortable on the ferry boat, it reminded me when poppy was intimidated by the stairs. I'm glad you had a break from your home island it would be good for your mental and spirits health. Story as always energetic and a very funny facial expression expressions

Wait til you get to Pagudpud Ilocos.. the view is breathtaking.. it's located up North.. try searching it on the internet.. we went there around December. It's so windy.. there's mountain and beach.

I lived in Surigao City for two months when I was doing my practicum as a requirement for my completion of my Master’s degree in Community Health Nursing. I am still quite familiar with the place and I still remember very well all the islands there because I went to all those islands and spent days there while helping the local folks in community development.

Hello 8MFH 🙏 FYI...I didn’t know there’s an extra fee the beginning of year for visa extension. Every couple of months I usually pay 2,830 pesos and when I got my extension this month I paid 3,140. Good luck hopefully the Butuan office is open.
