We are back to the grind of boat projects, after a few rainy recovery days from the Dj beach party. We have decided to stick around the islands during cyclone season which brings in a lot of localized storms and rain of course.
Warren flies the drone, only this time into the ocean. The downsides of droning on open water.

Favorite statement in the video: I'm naked, don't do that. Great job on recovering/restoring the drone, and the sail cover -kudos!

Absolutely beautiful sewing job. I love that you have a sewing machine. At 9:32 I saw a hanging saying about wind and sails. I wrote this on my social media about 2 weeks ago. Just a thought. I love the old adage, “You can’t change the wind, but you can set your sails.” It reminds me that there are some things in life I can not change, BUT I still have options to move forward despite those forces. Most of the time it is hard. It is hard because wind, like so many things in the human experience, is beyond my control. The very notion of the mountainous size of that which I have no control over is poised to keep me on the shore or battered against the rocks. Sailing against the wind seems impossible, like swimming upstream. The first day of sailing training I learned that I could sail almost directly into the wind. Well, 30 to 40 degrees just off the center point of the wind. It was the sail dynamics and its shape that made it possible. A properly trimmed sail can move me just about anywhere. Sometimes at a crawl, sometimes reefed once or twice due to the strength of the wind. There are times the wind is too strong to sail so I must set an anchor and wait. Still, it’s ironic that the very thing that can keep me on shore can be harnessed to take me to the place of my destination. All it takes is for me to find the courage to hoist the sail, to set the trim, to unhook and let go of whatever is holding me back. No horizon is reached by looking back. Sails need to be hoisted or they are useless. Once hoisted, it takes work to trim them into the right shape for the current wind. Sails take constant monitoring because the wind is never the same one moment to the next. Sailing has taught me that even when I have done all the right things and followed all the right charts and plot points, something can reach out from under the surface and ground me, try to sink me, or slowly put a drag on my progress. Sailing is exhausting. So is life. I choose to set a sail every day. I study the charts of my current position and begin the work to hoist my sail into the wind and let go so I can move forward. In my journey I discover things I forgot to pack, take care of, or things neglected before I cast off my line. I take notes of those things and begin the process of taking care of them before I finish my sail, my day, my journey. I try not to make the same mistake twice. When I do, I make another note, try another strategy, or fix to get it right. But regardless, I continue to set a sail every day. I choose to do so each day until I am no longer a citizen of the living community of earth. I check my compass, adjust my course, and raise a sail.

Great job on the videos. Your channel is one of the top sailing channels out there! It’s great to see how far you all have come and inspire so many. My wife and I have watched every video. Keep inspiring the world! Channels like your have inspired us to sail around the world. We are in the planning stage now. So thank you @WEsail

@Justin Jansen I like these two. I watch 20 - 30 sailing channels regularly. Each one is praised by SOME one as "the best" sailing channel. What I watch little of the "jiggle" channels - the boobs and butts! Eye candy is nice... but there is more than that to life. The channels I like are the ones that tell a story, like WEsail. However, each one is somewhat different. I love the channels that have scuba diving. But if I was to choose a "best" channel, one that comes to mind doesn't do much scuba. They DO have some very good sailing. So... each to his own... and there is no accounting for "taste"! W & E!! More scuba please! I think that you two should expand your underwater repertoire! Thank you.

Great video, all the way through, Drone shots too. So obviously you did a good fix on it. We still just have The Phantom 3 from 2015 era, seem to like them the best, but then we’re to old to go “hiking in the mountains” with it in a backpack 🎒

I've seen someone cut up a noodle and zip tie a piece on each side. They do make one now that is waterproof. It can take off and land in the water. It looks pretty awesome and expensive.

Once again… where do I start. Fixing boats, fixing drones… what can you NOT do? Great climbing footage too (I’m assuming the drone footage from the mountains was taken on a different day, either pre, or post, drone mishap. Either way “spectacular” only begins to describe it. ❤️

Erica, the pufferfish are "sea puppies" 🐶 and you need to play with them and give the puppies treats (krill or shrimp). Good to see you two finally scheduled your hangover day properly. Awesome video, thank you for bringing us with each week, I love it and it makes my Wednesdays. Cheers

Oh well thanks, all good man we have thick skin and you didn’t sound bad at all, just curious! It looks like it’s fairly normal for most sailing KZfaq channels, and definitely normal for us- not necessarily by choice, it’s just very tough to be up to date because that would mean every video we post (4 per month) would have to span a week of real life, and very often if a bunch is happening in our lives (true for most of our weeks) we can make a video out of just a few days… but we do try to stay within a few months…
