I think, you should add square footage to the first L&D pen, and swap the goat panels for a smaller size opening, so no kid babies escape from it…like the new goat nursery. Then you’re prepared for the future goat baby arrivals…you know there will be some, even if to sell to future farmers…like Chad or Grandpa/Matt😂 Order a big bird pen/coop so you are buying for adult birds, then you are set for them…then build your big country home!♥️

You could try hanging the feeder and water cans from the center frame in the run. Will keep them clean longer. Saw it at a friends coop a few days ago.

The turkeys can live for years if fed properly and exercise. They are very sweet. My males without restrictions lived 3 to 4 years and my females 6 years. turkeys are inquisitive.

Spruce really did get his personality from his dad......I was serious when I suggested that you two should write a children's book. You have so much material right there in your own yard. Clearly you have zero plans to eat these goats so at least (use them) to fund your dreams in another way. Those babies with Blue are another book of their own......and your amazing husband can do the audio book voices....lmao. It's so amazing to watch you two......talk about a perfect match. Best wishes. You should add apple cider vinegar to your water to help prevent your chickens/turkeys from getting any tape worms and stuff like that

Recipe per gallon??? I do it for my little dog (ph balance), but a capful to 16 oz of water. He has never had a worm of any kind. And always use the kind with the 'mother' in it. Little more expensive, but GREAT results.

Wow, the baby goats have grown fast and Larry is bigger than Harry still. Spruce is his wonderful goat dog self, love him and it made me laugh when he made 'Mom" hold him that is a big arm full. Your birds have gotten so big the two white turkeys are getting their pretty show feathers and fanning them out to impress. I never knew that turkeys have such an interesting personality. You all have really been working hard. Thanks for sharing God Bless you all Mom and Dad and all the kids and the flock too.

Blue's boys are so cute. The difference in the sizes is amazing. Spruce is still the baby and probably always will be because of the special ties from being bottle fed. The birds are growing nicely and hopefully will be able to get out soon and do their jobs on the ticks. Herc has something different in his mouth every day. He must have a storehouse of sticks. Shannon, before you buy any waters and feeders, talk to grandpa. I purchased some for him and you, You get three waters and three feeders, to put in a bucket like Cassie Walker from Walker farm. Hope you get them before they leave on vacation, I was hopene he'd give them to you the other day when you was all there.

Hey Shannon, if you're afraid of an 8 oz turkey chick, what are you going to do when they are 20 pound Tom turkeys? Use a broom to keep them back while they're little. Then they will stay back when they're grown, as long as you carry a rake or broom.

If you want an upgrade on the chicken run, Producers Pride makes a Universal Poultry Pen that’s made out of welded wire is the best I’ve come across and the wire is small enough to keep chicks in and stout enough to keep predators out.

I think that it would be a good idea to use some pallet wood to build a mini-shed for the storage of feed. With a lid on the shed you will have good luck in keeping the Goat Feed dry. You may also want to include room for Bird feed. I found that it was a good idea with centralizing the food storage area so that you will be able to back the truck up to it to unload the bags of feed. I love the progress that you have made and praying that you have a future plan for Shady Acres in making a beautiful homestead. 💝👍🏼🙏🏻

Glad you got the Guinea back in . Boy the turkeys are growing very fast! My aunt had a pair she named thanksgiving and Christmas lol I love your little farm ! Spruce has really grown! I remember when you could really cuddle him in your arms .my daughter recently got a pair of peacocks and has a shelter the same as yours only different brand , not sure if the door is the same though.

I just want to say that I just loved seeing all the boys at grandpa Adler’s farm yesterday, I hope you make more videos like that in the future. You guys did such a good job on the new area for mama goat and her babies. I think separating the boys from the females will be very beneficial for everyone. I find that a lot of Homestead’s that do keep their males and females together do so because they make a living off of selling the babies but again this is very hard on the mother goats birthing so many times a year I can’t imagine what they go through so I am so thankful that this is not the case with you guys and that you have these as pets and you love them dearly. ❤️

I checked out the website for the metal chicken coop from vevor; looks like the "FLAT TOP" would have been the better choice, because the 6'5" head room looks to cover about 4' and not just at the point at top, (plus according to the picture it has a single panel door) also the most expensive. "DOME ROOF" looks like to have a little more head room; not as a sharp cut. Again just my opinion. Love your channel; and especially - "SPRUCE, HARRY & LARRY".

I think Kyle mentioned that the deciding factor for them was the length, as the largest lengthwise only came with this design of roof at the time - and can be fairly readily improved upon by adding extra walls below the coop. Agree that a Flat Top would be the best solution - for the birds as well - hopefully the manufacturers will take that on board, too

I think your Dad has included some extra low sided bowls of water for the birds to stand in, so that they can cool through their feet... I dont know how much bowl space you would need for that flock though! What with the little coop and the roosting bars, there's not a lot of floor space that isnt already committed

The birds have really grown so fast and I liked when Shannon stroked the bird she is getting less afraid. You both are doing so well with everything you are doing. It seems that every time I see the birds, they have grown more. Shannon, try a broom to keep the birds away. Kyle, you and Matt were so funny with Ralph. Good idea to put blue and the babies in the new pen, it will give them access to grass and when the they are ready youll be able to let them out onto the property on their own so momma can show the babies around

Yep, Spruce cried out Dad, Mom! Mama Peach and Mario--they are a couple. FYI: you think you own your wonderful animals, but YOU are owned by each one, and that is great.

That's right Kyle that pre-built Chicken Coop that your Dad & Chad have is awesome! You'll get your birds all squared away! It will free up your time to do the other projects you need to do. Mama's the nursery is a priority right? 😀 Especially if it's any day. I know you and Shannon want to be ready! You need the time to do your other projects. It would definitely save you time in the long run! Did your Dad tell you about the automatic chicken door? That opens at dawn, & closes at dusk? It's labor free once you install it on the chicken coop. Your chickens go in & come out automatically! It's amazing!
