You would get more amazed had they discovered Arnel in his prime. So lucky were Filipinos who had seen him perform during that time. He was not so good looking, thus, the music industry in Philippines did not give him so much attention as they preferred good looks than talent.

I was thinking maybe you can give some insight on pitch, that my life of music has never given me. Also I was looking for a video that shows which note in Arnel's track are flat and or sharp and by how much if you're in 440. Maybe you would use a plug in like AutoTune to measure each of his note's intonation. But I see that you don't have any published. So you have no right to falsify claims for myself or other pros like Arnel or Neil Schon or J. Cain (one my early keyboard heroes), for continuing to keep him hired as the rep for their music. Once you have some videos posted, then you'll have some cred, until then, your opinion has no merit and quite inane. BTW I just listened to both songs very intently concentration on Arnel's pitch and even going to my piano to check on a couple of notes. I counted maybe two or three notes that we're a couple of cents off on pitch. They were all on "Anyway", one long note and a couple of eighth notes in runs, but otherwise, all the others were on pitch! This is what makes a human performance sound human. Once, I had to analyze and edit an edit an a capella stem of Perry's vox, and there were quite a few imperfections that I had to fix. I was very surprised to find this in one of the greatest vocalists of all time. But ALL live vocalists have some imperfections. This what makes them sound like them! If you take too many out, then they will sound like robots and their performances ruined! But of course, you know all theses things, right?😁

The Real Music Observer is a mega douche who has a grudge against any band that continues to exist with a replacement singer - Styx, Yes, Journey, Chicago, etc. With the rare exception of Rush, It's just not possible for bands to last 30, 40 or 50 years without some changes in personnel.

​@@legasimusic schooled musician you are not . Far from any music knowledge I might add . I own 14 guitars , two basses , a Grand Piano , two Synthesizers and a ton of gear . What do you play , a tambourine ? That must be the extent of your music knowledge because as I hinted even a non music lover could hear he's clearly all over the place and off key . Time to get a new singer if Schon wishes to keep playing music as Journey .

@@legasimusic I don't need to prove anything to you as anyone with ears can hear he's awfully off key . But it is difficut to convince someone without a sense of pitch . You keep dreaming he's on and keep buying his records and going to his shows - they clearly need the support as their audience dwindle in attendance . They're gonna need every bit of help you can give .

I'm convinced that he was either sick or had some vocal issues because he sounded great on new years eve and sang Don't Stop Believing in the original key, unlike here where it's down a half step.

@@samccfl his name is Arnel and he’s 53 and has been with the band since 2007. Neal Schon is the only original member in the band at the moment.
