The basketball one is just a 10/10 handmade KZfaqPoop. The whole thing looked great, but the shot of the basketball hoop actually rising from the table looked like it was already a part of the movie.

Yeah! He comes up with the craziest stuff!! I always think it’s gonna be impossible or cannot possibly look good and his work is often the best! A very talented man! Big Hero 6 seems like a perfect fit for one of these since Baymax is frequently pointing out how unsafe an activity is. Example - "A fall from this height could lead to bodily harm." Then when crashing out the window, Baymax pops on impact instead of cushioning the blow for Hero.

Okay 100% legitimately Peter is one of the best VFX artists I have ever seen. Every single time he makes something he doesn't just put 100% effort into it. He doesn't even put 110% effort into it. He puts 150% effort into EVERYTHING all the way back to the beginning with the Tiny Guns brain flop. Peter is so unbelievably talented. Every time I see his work I am absolutely floored. Just wow.

i thought it was gonna be super cheesy at the beginning, just sounded like he was taking on waaay too much, but that turned out flipping hollywood blockbuster quality. genuine amazement from me. (i dont watch corridor that often so had no idea what this man was truly capable of. )

I have another Harry Potter related challenge for you! Rik Mayall was supposed to play Peeves the poltergeist in the Harry Potter movies. Unfortunately his scenes were cut and to this day the footage hasn't been released. For the motion capture: wouldn't the movements be more realisitc if he used a real Basketball while capturing (just as a placeholder)? For the LEGO one: probably makes it harder, but would've been cool if they transform him back after the head pops off-and _then_ bloods comes out of the real, separated head.
