In today's video we make a cast of Rex's feet! Well, we try to... We sure ran into some difficulties... She just had to wiggle at the most inopportune time! But it turned out better than I thought it would, all things considered!

Krista Gale & Samuel Walton true, but it’d have to be of only his body, Rex wouldn’t be able to breathe. Plus he’d get stressed out and thrash around if his whole body was covered in the casting stuff.

Story Time: At my school, we had an art teacher who was teaching how to cast molds for his students and one girl wanted to make a cast of her arm. Now this wasn't the animal safe stuff, this was the public school stuff and if you don't know, it heats up as it sets. So, while she was fine for the first part of it, she started screaming as it set and was unable to remove it without help from the teacher. In the end she had to go to the ER because of the burns on her arm and hand. And our teacher, was totally and completely fired.

Taking a moment to say Rex is looking so healthy in this video. She barely has any curvature to her snout anymore, her teeth look more opaque, and her color is popping. So glad to see Rex make a comeback after being neglected for so long. Y'all are wonderful caretakers and I salute you for all the hard work and care you put into keeping your animals healthy and happy. Love this video and this channel!

I love this! I did it with my daughter’s hand when she was a baby. I held her hand together in mine and it turned out so beautifully. We also did my daughter with her grandma’s hand and with her daddy’s hand as well. Such an awesome keepsake.

First, duct tape fixes everything. Second, the front foot with how it curves placed palm up would make an awesome jewelry dish. You could put rings on toes. So cute! Love it!

then you realize gators are the most chilled species and are only aggressive if you get into their territory, or are hungery. we had baby gators chill in a ditch next to our apartment, and we was like with in 2 ft of them all they did was just chill.

P.S.: I own a freelance studio that conceptualizes ideas for smaller businesses, it's not as add: just me saying - try (if you can) to 3D scan her paws, and then downsized them to sell as merch! Keychains, pins, pendants, just think about all that detail in tiny form! A 3d printer can do a good job of rendering mockups as well!

I've made a project like this once, and it was such a hassle. Even tough my helper works with alginate and cast on a daily basis and the model was cooperative the end result hasn't perfect. These materiais are so sensitive. It took 3 attempts as well. So, I feel your pain

Abby Van Keer I know right! Ughh, I hated that. My orthodontist now has this new machine where they just move a toothbrush like thing all around your teeth and it takes thousands of pics and fuses them together. The aftermath is a digital mold which they 3D print.

Hey Snake Discovery, I've always been curious about this. My family has a cabin in Wisconsin and after a HUGE storm that brought down tree branches, I found two hognose that seemingly came from the trees. It was my first time seeing a hognose and they were scary and it was my first snake. Now because of your channel I know more about them and admire them. Do they tend to live in trees? What is their natural life like in the wild? Apologies if you've covered this before.

I watch so many of your videos, I have a PRECIOUS, sweet amel cornsnake, and these are so helpful ^^ Like your video on snake behaviour, I was so scared to pick up my snake because I thought she perked up her head because she wanted bite me, but now I know she's just curious. A part 2 would be fantastic, I think you should make the 2 "failed" casts into decoration. That would be so cool.
