Not like having diabetes stops you fom having candy, but, personal preferences :D "No sugary sweets!" is an old wives tale, similar to the "sugary sweets = diabetus!". Especially if talking type 1. (They probably do know this, but just as a general note)

This reminded me that on my 20th birthday we had lower income and bought every candy in dollar general for the party and then my friends dared me to take a little bit of everything plus the off brand soda and blend it all and drink a glass for $20. I did it and it was absolutely VILE.
