Yeah this would be amazing if he could make some real good friends there. The most difficult part will be distinguish those who are fake trying to look like his friend just because of Jin's money, connections and status and those who are genuinely good people.

Makes me feel sick how much the media know. He hasn't even started yet and they're already interviewing people, what lengths will they go when Jin starts and anyone can just seII his privacy. He already told us on WV how he feels about this. This is not what he wants.

You expressed exactly what I was thinking. Seeing all these men going into a dangerous and difficult setting--it made my heart hurt for them. Prayers they all pass through the time safely.

This first step to granting personal space is the media not invading it, such as Korea now making this video.

@@jessicapierce3027 it can also put pressure on the soldiers so they don’t bully him, if they know the entire world is watching and judging them.

He might not have much personal space in the military. It is usually bunking together. He just has to eat, sleep well, train, and don't get hurt while doing it.

That will wear off after a couple of days or weeks. They'll get used to him being one of the crowd, and probably start throwing pillows at him for his dad jokes. 🙂 But it's good to see they have a positive attitude to meeting him- admiring, respectful, interested in things he's interested in- instead of criticizing him for being postponed or thinking he'd want special privileges.

I thought I was the only one thinking this whiling watching. This is what I was worried about, everyone trying to become the global celebrity's best friend instead of Jin having a normal enlistment. This could turn into sasaengs on crack.

@@justagirl9607 I honestly think that ssngs have already bought the info, or sniffed it out themselves. (Not saying this in defense of the media outlet here, just kinda saying "it's water under the bridge at this point, unfortunately".) Just 'cause... y'know, they make it their whole lives to be ahead and have the most up to date info so they can act fast and be first for something, which'll bring them more money, which then 'causes that cycle of stalking to continue. I'd be curious to see what'll happen to a ssng who decides to infiltrate a base and snap pictures, or bribe/pay soldiers for stories or pictures. Can't be anything good for any invasive party. I also recently heard that the gov is stepping in to deal with anyone who decides to show up for Jin; Fans were told to not come, and only real fans would listen. So as far as most other Army are concerned, anyone who does decide to go isn't an Army. I have no sympathy for whatever happens to those people who were asked then told to stay away, but wouldn't.

@@anesidora0seneca honestly i heard reports that the surrounding hotels are filling up And the locals have put baners around that Jin will be enlisting here There was literally an article that was saying that they are looking to “boast local economy” with this spotlight ..that is so freaking sad as if Jin is here to put on a show

But apparently the place the families are sending off their sons/kids is a parkinglot INSIDE the base, and only authorized ppl (ie, family) can get in in order to say their farewells, so hopefully THAT can still be a private affair. I did hear about those tour packages (more supremely messed up stuff), and BH is getting law enforcement help to crack down on that and other stuff. It was in one of their weverse missives. It's incredibly sad that locals are trying to cash in in this manner, because it caters to actual stalkers, ie the bottom of the barrel kind of 'fan'.

I think everyone can use discretion to determine what is harmful info and what’s not. I don’t see their answers as harmful to him. The govt should’ve changed his enlistment date after it was revealed. Unfortunately it’s going to be a media circus.

Strange that they would go and interview these military personnels and talking about Jin. I wonder if they felt obligated to say nice things about meeting and serving with him. Hope that Jin completes his service safely and healthily.
