Actually secret settings had a setting that made Minecraft playable for colorblind people. So it actually was useful.

I really love the Ancient Village idea, it can add a sense of nastalgia and can make it seem like your Minecraft world actually has a past even if its a new world.

I’m going to say the one feature I’d like back is something similar to the Nether Reactor. Obviously it couldn’t be nether-themed anymore, but the idea of being able to activate a time-restricted, overworld dungeon with unique treasures and enemies is such a cool idea. In the original nether reactor, even after the reactor shut down, the nether spire remained in your overworld, creating a unique landmark. It would be cool if they could keep that idea as well.

I wish that minecraft console minigames would've been officially added to minecraft java and bedrock. I loved it so much and it seems like I never got to play it because I didn't have a console. For example the Spleef variant but where instead of snow you could destroy any block instantly with your shovel.

I would really like a weather update that makes snow and rain actually fall from clouds and maybe add a few weather types like sandstorms for desserts and fog for swamps. Nothing that would make the weather annoying but have things like changed spawn rates for mobs.

Regarding The Farlands. I would much rather have something intentional at this location. Something that tells more about the story about minecraft story. A town with modern houses. Caves with messages. Something that would give some answers how we ended up in the minecraft world.

I think Zombie Pigmen deserve to come back. Here's how I see it: Zombie Pigmen = Zombies Zombified Piglins = Zombie Villagers Piglins = Villagers Make it so you can cure Zombified Piglins back into normal Piglins, but you cannot cure Zombie Pigmen. Easy fix. Also I built a classic village on my world (gravel paths and all) because I miss them too lol.

These would feature Pre-Village & Pillage villages which generate either partially or fully buried underground. They would have very rare loot and tie in nicely with the new archeology features planned for after 1.18. Ancient Villages could generated in any biome in the Overworld - even in biomes that don't currently generate their own villages such as Jungles, Badlands, Swamp, or even under the Ocean or under Iceberg biomes etc, so it seems that the village has been there so long, the biome in which it was once situated has shifted over time since there was life there. They would generate with missing blocks, Cobwebs and Mossy Stone, similar to a Zombie Village, but to make them slightly unique, some of the blocks from the village buildings could be lying on the floor to make it seem like buildings have collapsed or 'fallen over'. They could also generate in the ground - not underground, but just under the Overworld surface as if the ground has layered over the village over time. For example, you could find an Ancient Desert Village buried under a Jungle - because long ago it used to be a Desert there. They should use a different loot table to regular villages, featuring some rarer and maybe even exlusive items, like a Ruby (the old version of the Emerald)."

I know wool colors (and colored blocks in general) are limited to 16 colors (+ dyeless for some colored block types) but I kinda want to see some of the classic wool colors return like the mint green wool or the lavender wool

The entity labels on F3 need to return. Those were so useful, and it was fun seeing them pop up all over in my mob farms so I knew stuff was actually spawning in there without having to go there and look inside it.

I keep finding three types of villages: Lively, Abandoned, and Zombie. They could easily make Abandoned villages like the old classic villages we used to have(so that you could also repopulate it if you wanted to in game). Wouldn't you agree, ibxtoycat, sir? Structure blocks do kind of make an isometric screenshot, shows entities, can change the size and location, and you can rotate the perspective. But it’s not a feature in survival and the 3d view the structure block captures is small so it’s hard to see small details.

Fun fact in my oldest MCPE creative world I used to use really low render distance and I stayed like that for a while, so about 200 blocks away from my world spawn I have and old village and a new village within 30 block of each other

I play on ps4 bedrock edition and I’ve actually gone to the farlands in game. I had just learned what the teleport command was and after typing in a whole bunch of zeroes while in the end, i found myself in a weird Farlands-like area.

Ancient villages - I love it, absolutely. It's a genius idea. As ruby had been used in watches back until XX century, maybe it could be used to make a clock that brings you back in time a little bit? For the times you throw your stuff into lava or fall off an edge.

-Customizable Clouds with a default higher height is a great idea. Could be used as a fog for horror maps as well. -New Cave song is needed, and calm4.ogg works pretty well. -I like bringing in some older biomes, especially the Ice Desert. Works like the Gobi. Not sure on the FarLands; maybe as an alternate dimension or with some unique loot/mobs? I feel like the Farlands needs some in-game justification and fleshing out a la the Nether and the End. -Getting seeds from tilling is really neat! I like having more little things that help. -Could be cool if Abandoned Villages were occasionally designed in the Old Style, or if you could excavate them using Archaeology. -I LOVED custom worlds!!!

There's a Java mod that I played recently called Blockus, and along with the normal modded Minecraft stuff it included an update to stonecutters where you could give blocks their old looks from Pocket Edition and even Alpha and Beta versions of the game. I think it would be really cool if modern Minecraft gave us that option (or something similar) to have alternative legacy textures to blocks and mobs

Fun fact: You can actually generate the farlands in Java that are so close that from the center of the world, you could see all 4 sides of it at once. This is only in versions of Java that still have customized worlds. You basically go to advanced settings and mess around with "Coordinate scale", there are KZfaq videos on it. You will also need the mod that brings back the farlands in the first place. Point is, if you wanted, you could indeed generate farlands at 100k blocks.

Secret settings and customized worlds are the only ones I think would be cool to see. The rest are mostly just wanting things that you thought were cool despite the reasons they're gone. Kinda lame.

Love the idea of bringing back old villages as ruins! For a long time I was missing the pre-1.7 caves, but more recent versions really have matched those -- nowadays you can again have sprawling empires through the underground. I would like to see (hear) more music, perhaps even bouncy stuff like this, but it's cute how you sidestepped the point of "this was made by Notch, who since his departure from Mojang has become *an untouchable dumpster fire*".

Being someone that makes generative music, calm sounds very generative which is why it has that strange funky sound. I'd love to see more generative music in Minecraft because it can react to anything that the player can do

The old frozen oceans/lakes, the old rose flower(could be obtainable by using a share on the rose bush), darker nights/caves.

The custom world thing is generally annoying but if you make a super flat world in pre bedrock Minecraft it will let you customize it and you can update it to current version with that button thing

The Zombie Pigman wasn't REMOVED. it was RENAMED and REDESIGNED. It is the same mob, with a very similar just more detailed look, and a different name.
