Because horses can't ride in boats anymore they need to add horseshoes that can be enchanted with FrostWalker II so I can ride my horse across oceans again. Nice tip on the honey - it's been years since the bee update came out and I forgot it cures poison. Would have saved me much pain lately dealing with witches in caves.

you are correct (it needs to be a non mushroom block placed next to it though) but in bedrock it registers as a block you can have in your inventory unlike in java where it will default back to having its mushroom colors on all sides. I believe this was the distinction they were making.

@@NL-fy6to Whoa wait it’ll become that type of block?! Epiiic. “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. “ John 3:16-21 (NIV) “ If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. “ Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)

Toycat, an underrated use for the respawn anchor is direct travel from the end to the nether. Since the end portal takes you back to your respawn point or world spawn, it was previously impossible to go directly to the nether from the end. You had to visit the overworld first. But since the respawn anchor puts your spawn in the nether, returning to the overworld is no longer necessary to get to the nether from the end.

1. Renaming Items - I do this for my Shulker Boxes, but I never thought of doing this for other jobsite blocks because I don't think you get any value out of it. 2. Renaming Spawn Eggs - I knew this, but as mostly a Survival Player it never comes up 3. Fire Charge - I use them in my Ticking Gold Farm as a way to light portals. I get them for free from Piglin Bartering and I have no other use for them. 4. Respawn Anchor - I never forgot about it, but I never use it either. I've considered using it as a building block, but the recipe needing 6 Crying Obsidian per block makes that somewhat unrealistic given the relatively low rate at which Piglins will give them in Bartering. 5. Frost Walker - I never forgot about it, but again I never use it either. I used to have a pair that I would play around with every once and a while, but I prefer my normal boots even while traversing the Nether (which after you've created enough infrastructure, Frostwalker boots would be unnecessary anyway). 6. Mushroom Blocks - I rarely consider using these in builds although I should more often. I would consider these an item that I "forget" often enough to count. 7. Snow Golem - I used to have a Snow Farm using a Snow Golem. 8. Tripwire Hook - Yeah, mostly forgotten given that there are just no good reasons to use them 9. Bottle O' Enchanting - Yeah, mostly forgotten as I just use a farm or trading for XP and to Mend tools. 10. Dried Kelp - I don't bother with Kelp at all, but it is one of those easy Fuel/Food sources that you can put together to be fully automatic. I just have other farms for both items (Auto Chicken Cooker and Lava Farm) that I never bothered with Kelp, so it is a mostly forgotten feature for me. 11. Rabbit Stew - I have made one of these ever, and it was only for completion of my 'Every Item in Minecraft' museum. Needing to cook the Rabbit and the Potato makes it a pain to craft, and there are too many ways to get food without the extra effort 12. Striders - I always forget about Striders. I should use them more. 13. Clock - Useless. I've made only one for my museum and I'll never use again. 14. Calcite - I love Calcite, but I always shy away from using it in a lot of builds because of the lack of block options (Slabs, Stairs, Walls, etc.). I have a ton of it collected for the day that we will hopefully get more Calcite blocks 15. Daylight Detector - I agree that the recipe is too expensive for something that has such a niche use. 16. Weighed Pressure Plates - I truly forgot that the 4 types of pressure plates act differently. 17. Honey Bottles - As far as I'm concerned, they are used for making Honey Blocks... I don't ever use them for eating or curing poison So I would say that I had "forgotten" about 8/17 of these on some level. Thanks for the reminder...

The clock will allow you to know the exact moment that you can sleep so that you aren't spam clicking your bed repeatedly. And it makes a great beginner decoration especially using that Tripwire hook in an item frame to design a Grandfather Clock. I have a clock in every bedroom as well as underground, I use them to tell time. They are quite useful. Also, I like to connect daylight detectors to redstone lamps to make automatic streetlights so my Minecraft town has light at night without spamming torches or glowstone everywhere. I also use daylight detectors with note blocks to make alarms for when it's getting dark and time to head home. In fact, my Minecraft town has a clock tower that uses daylight detectors, note blocks and repeaters to sound clock chimes every night, just as the streetlights light up. Kinda makes the place feel alive.

It's one thing to say you use the clock, its another to say its useful. It really isnt useful in the slightest as if you're underground whether its day or night is completely irrelevant, and if you're above ground you can see the sky. It has no legitimate use outside of telling the time which is pretty unnecessary when the only thing that actually matters is, is it day or night? I bet you dont look at those clocks and go "hmm yep, its 9:36am". You would look at it and go "hmm yep, its night/day time". The only thing anyone could actually call it useful for (and I still dont think useful is the right word) is decoration, because it could very well be the missing piece to make a build look finished. But it serves no purpose outside of doing exactly what you can already do by looking up, or if you cant, then it usually doesnt matter if its day or night
@themisfitowl2595
@themisfitowl2595 Жыл бұрын
@@InitialDreadly If it wasn't useful to me, I wouldn't use it. I do use them plenty, therefore they are useful to me. You can look up at the sky and look around to find the position of the sun and then watch the sun moving for several seconds to tell you whether or not it's moving towards the horizon or away from it. You can absolutely do that to determine if you have enough time to finish your build, or make it back to your base before night falls. Or you can look at a clock. I've looked at mine enough to know when it's almost night, high noon or early morning. The only real annoyance with looking at a clock, is watching it spin like a wheel before landing on what time it is. I'd rather it just always show it.

@@themisfitowl2595 "You can look up at the sky and look around to find the position of the sun and then watch the sun moving for several seconds to tell you whether or not it's moving towards the horizon or away from it. You can absolutely do that to determine if you have enough time to finish your build, or make it back to your base before night falls. Or you can look at a clock." I don't need to say anything else here. You just said yourself how it effectively does exactly the same thing as looking up. Making it kind of pointless really. I will say though that if you've spent any more than a single day in your world you tend to know which way the sun rises and sets, so you dont need to look at it for a few seconds to know whether its rising or setting, because you will know which way it moves and so it's position (found the exact second you look up btw, which is quicker than checking the clock) is literally the only thing you need. "I've looked at mine enough to know when it's almost night, high noon or early morning." So has everyone with the sun in their world. It's like I said at the beginning, just because you use it, doesn't make it a useful item. You can try to justify it to yourself all you like but you said yourself looking up does exactly the same thing, and based on what you said about the clock spinning, looking up is actually going to be quicker in 100% of scenarios

@@InitialDreadly You know what's beautiful about Minecraft, different people get to play it in different ways and no one person's playstyle is considered wrong or right. So you can go hunt around for the sun, and I can go glance at a clock, because that's how we choose to play the game. That way, we can both enjoy the game. Sound good? Great.
@InitialDreadly

@@themisfitowl2595 lol I never disagreed with that. I only said the clock is useless because it it an item that you use to do something that requires zero items. Like I said of you use it that's cool, but that doesn't make it a useful item by any means. I do heaps that would be considered inefficient or use things that might be useless, but that doesn't change the fact they're inefficient or useless

I didn't forget any of these, but exp bottles from priests is something I never knew, since I rarely do villager trading. I also love using kelp as fuel. I smelt mine in a campfire to avoid waste, and I can save my coal for torches.

There are many things in this list that I don't use, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that I have forgotten them. Rabbit stew might be the closest, since it's so useless that I've never even crafted it once, but it's not something I hear about and go "oh wow I forgot about that" I just go "eh I wouldn't care if they removed them"

I knew most of these, but I didn't know honey cured negative status effects, and while I did generally know about pressure plates, but never knew about the stacking signal for gold plates. I don't know how I would use that, but... hm... I'll have to think on it. This vid was cool, thanks for sharing.

I remember all these features, EXCEPT for the fact certain blocks can be named; I only knew that chests and shulker boxes could be named, not that many others (gotta rename my enchantment table in my world). And I don't know much about redstone, so that about the pressure plates was completly new to me.

Lol I used to build big redstone vault doors and various other contraptions and this is the first I'm even hearing about the different pressure plate effects. Someone also said above that they believe the iron pressure plate is actually 1 signal per 10 entities, so it would be interesting to test that

I think they should make grenades a feature, but renamed so it isn't blatantly called grenades. I know how horrible this sounds, but you need to hear me out. 2 fire charges, 4 iron ingots, and 1 iron nugget to make 4. It would deal half the damage of TNT, set mobs and players on fire, and wouldn't destroy blocks. Since it requires fire charges, it would be harder to make, but renewable. So it isn't like make netherite stuff which after a while you run out of it in an area, but is really good. And it isn't like a bow which is too easy to make and is renewable. They could call it like a "Fire Bomb" or something like that. I just think it would be neat to give the fire charge a new use.

I'd say the dried kelp block isn't forgotten. Kelp farms for furnace fuel are still very much a thing. They're far better than bamboo. The only downside is that it's not 100% automatic as you have to craft the blocks yourself.

Not that I've forgotten... just never cared. As for nametags, I don't really know for sure, but I suspect it takes an Anvil to use it. And Anvils are something that takes me MANY hours to get. If I could just put a nametag on a mob that would be fine. It would be more fine if it let me name it for free the first time. I prefer to have a light-colored block surrounding my living space -- as that makes things brighter. So, Calcite if that comes before Diorite, or Sandstone. What YOU forget is that Chest Boats allow only one mob at a time, so when you're going by boat at night you may pick up a Drowned if you don't watch out. Oh? Did I see that in one of your streams? Tee Hee.
