I just finished this book and I needed to find a rant video and you have delivered! So thank you so much, you literally hit on all of the points that I wanted to discuss so this was really freeing. I genuinely don’t get how a book series I loved so much ended with 500 pages of nothing and then 100 pages of literal bullshit like what. WHAT. I’m just so confused like they had this whole battle for the lakelanders to give up??? That makes zero sense. Mare and Cal ending up together after all of the plot all of their beliefs, all of their conflict that I guess just went to waste, (I would also like to hit on the fact that Mare and Cal are some of the blandest characters I’ve ever read 🥰🥰) Norta, all the countries, were left so unresolved. I-?? The whole 4 books were about mare and her scarlet guard revolution for us to get nothing about that? I just don’t get it. In her blurb Victoria Aveyard says it hasn’t really hit her that she’s finished a book series. And it’s because she didn’t finish it. She wrote a quick ending and called it done. It just really upsets me because when I read the first book it also meant a whole lot to me :( Again thank you for ranting I very much needed that you seem really nice I hope you’re having a nice day 💗💗

We definitely need to rant about war storm. It's my least favorite book in existence and the only one star read that has ever graced my eyes yikes. It was so disappointing and unnecessary ugh I hate it sooo much. Yes the ending makes me want to die and I gave it one star for that and just for boring me ugh. Such a let down from the rest of the series even though the end of kings Cage was garbage too. When I first read red queen I hated it so much but I always give second books I try and I enjoyed it so much. I think I hated it because it's a lot like a lot of other YA books I've read but I can understand how someone who hadn't read a lot of YA at the time would love it. same after I've reread it three times now I do kind of love it. Glass sword is my favorite in the series because of just how jam packed it was and my favorite character prevailed in it so i stan. Iris was so pointless Godamn Victoria just smh 🤦‍♂️ i still hate Evangeline just because to be honest I hate everyone because of how my favorite character is treated it makes me mad at the other characters lmao 🤧 but yes I was glad when she stood up and ran from her parents I stan. It was so stupid and cry anticlimactic like what the hell?? Maven and Cal dying while battling that would make so much mf sense and also them not ending up together like Marecal is such trash they just don't work I don't understand why Victoria tried to make it happen. THE BATTLE WAS DUMB AS FUCK IM SCREAMING LIKE WTF NEVER BEEN MORE DISAPPOINTED WITH A SCENE. SAME I JUST WANTED TO BE DONE WITH IT AND HOW DID HE DIE I STILL DON'T THINK HE'S REALLY DEAD LIKE UMMM WHERE HIS BODY AT I'M DONE AIN'T HE THE VILLIAN UGH 🤦‍♂️ HE WAS BARELY IN IT YES MAVEN DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER! It was very rushed yikes I'm tired it's like she threw away the rest of the series and just winged it with this book. SAME NO ONE DUES OR ANYTHING BYEEE LIKE HOW DID NONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS DIE IM SO MAD tbh the whole book makes me so mad tbh and you explained my thoughts really well. SAME Maven is my favorite character too and he deserves better yikes it wasn't her thing to do for sure and ugh Marecal does not fudging work but nooo Victoria Aveyard just doesn't understand her own characters ugh I'm madd. SAME I THINK THERE SHOULDN'T BE A KING THAT MAKES SENSE AND I BARELY READ THE END I HAVE TO SAY BUT ARE YOU SERIOUSLY SAYING THAT HE GAVE UP HIS BELOVED CROWN FOR HIS MOMS LETTERS IM SCREAMING I DIDN'T KNOW THE BOOK COULD GET ANY WORSE. Bless you for this I agree with your thoughts so much. I was team nobody until I reread like red queen after reading the last two books but I always loved Maven because he was such an interesting villian and then as we know more about him he just is so complex how can you not love him? BUT YES SAME I DON'T LIKE CAL AND I REALIZED IT THEN TOO. Cal is a horrible character he's so basic ugh. It is the writing like I love Maven so much tbh forever and none of the characters are as intriguing as him. Yes get no redemption or even a better death ugh Victoria is annoying as hell I gotta say. Aw rip you about the interview like yikes my heart. 🤦‍♂️ It was very disappointing I'm so glad I watched this entire video it wso amazing. It's such a godamn disappointment okay she could have done so much with the series but wasted all the potential on bullshit

Yeaaa the series just went downhill and it’s the first series I’ve read that actually got WORSE as it went on Major letdown but like you I powered through it and finished the book
