This specific story is one that is out there in the best way possible. We follow a large cast of characters in multiple time lines as they discover adventure, space, and GODS! Looks great value for money! The pricing on books these days can be a bit puzzling to me. Intriguing story concept and stunning artwork. The color palette is just so vibrant and appealing! I'm thinking I might need to grab an issue and give it a read to see if it's my kind of thing before I commit to a deluxe edition.

Great bang for your buck that’s for sure! Really thought provoking story with relatable characters. I think checking it out in a trade is the best way to get a taste instead of just a issue for this one because ALOOOOOTTT unfolds issue to issue. Let me know your thoughts if you do read it!

Oh that timeline would have been helpful! I read it in the TPBs and could really have used it. 😂 Your comments about the art were on point for me. I really found some of the panels more of a challenge in terms of sequential storytelling than the time shifts. That said, I read it a second time in one (more or less, with breaks) sitting and it all clicked better for me.

Totally agree! They should have put the timeline in front of the book honestly. This totally feels like the type of book that needs multiple reads to fully understand the story being told for sure!

I cannot wait to get my hands on this book ! I never finished it in singles, cause with a dense story like this, I waited for a collected edition. Very fair review bro. 🤘🏾

That was the smart decision! This story really really benefits from being a all in one book opposed to a single issue monthly series. Once you check it out I gotta talk to you about this one!

When I was picking up comics, I picked the 1st two issues of this and was little confusing so I stopped 😂 but thanks for explaining it 👍

Yeah that’s on par with my reading experience haha I hope I helped a little? It is a really advanced and out there plot and style of storytelling that I can barely wrap my head around but what I did understand I enjoyed. Plan to give it another go?

I just finished Volume 3 of the collected editions and have to say that this is the worst book I've read in some time. I did manage to make it through to the end, so I suppose I'd give it two stars instead of 1, but boy oh boy... the story is super confusing for numerous reasons. It has lots of time jumps, often from panel to panel. The artwork, while incredibly detailed, isn't always laid out well, and many times I couldn't decipher what was happening thanks to too much going on in the panels, or a lack of colors to give something focus, or even just many characters looking alike. I can't imagine having to read the story in its original monthly issue-by-issue run, as I'd be able to make even less sense of what was going on. I did appreciate that, towards the end, the colorist gave each time era its own primary color to help differentiate what was going on from panel to panel, not that it helped much to illuminate what was going on. The ending was a head-scratcher too. The timeline at the back of this collected edition would have been enormously helpful while reading each volume. This is the type of book that would definitely benefit from a second read, but I was so frustrated during my initial read that I have no desire to go back and do it again. For what it's worth, this deluxe edition does looks really nice though.

Well said! I agree with a lot of points here and most I touched on in the review but the 1 star seems harsh haha (For clarity Is your rating 1 out of 5 stars?) I could never imagine reading this weekly or monthly neither and totally feel it should have been released in a graphic novel all in one format from the jump! I do agree with the addition of the different color pallets for the time lines and the time line chart in the extras in this edition as very very important aspects that readers need to pay close attention to. The end I feel was for sure a head scratcher and very highbrow and maybe I’m a dumb reader or something but I still haven’t fully understood the ending other than it hinting at the circle of life? Importance of life? Negatives of affiliations and factions in the world? Not sure haha but I enjoyed MOST of the ride but not all. I do agree about the second read also. This is one I plan to reread at some point for sure and decide fully on my thoughts when it comes to the story because I still feel so conflicted. So much about the book I enjoyed and found very original but others aspects I felt fell flat but I’m still not sold on even those thoughts. Most books I don’t think are a 10/10 I try to reread at some point since we really evolve and change as people and readers as time passes. That being said I think maybe the entire point of the In depth, detailed but not straightforward storying telling was to make us think? If that was the objective then it for sure accomplished that! @@Illuminerdy_ I suppose my rating would be 2 out of 5 stars. The premise is intriguing, and I did want to see how it ended, which is worth something. I just wish the story and art made it more clear what in the world was going on along the way! I love a good mystery that keeps you guessing, but this felt like the bad kind of mystery that made me feel stupider by the end.

The premise was super interesting and unique and honestly I was hooked for the first 2-3 issues which is right around when it starts becoming confusing lol Totally agree with it making me feel more stupid haha I found myself asking myself “am I smart enough for this book?”
