Get ready for some seriously stunning coastlines 🤩🌊 Welcome To Denmark Western Australia! A raw and untamed stretch of beauty, 5 hours south of Perth and a hop skip from Margaret River and Albany.
[Episode 44] On our Western Australia road trip we’ve driven 14 hours from Coral Bay to catch up with Dunc’s dad Marky Mark before he sets off on his retirement - a converted 4wd Mercedes Sprinter Van with no end date in sight.

Keen to show off the place he’s called home for the past 8 years we explore these epic spots:
We go cycling! We cycle the stunning WOW track (part of the 1,000km Bibbulmum track). Hugging the coastline you really can’t beat the views of some of Western Australia’s best beaches. It’s undulating but an easy, well-graded cycle.
We get up early and hike from Greens Pools to famous ELEPHANT ROCKS, and venture further to Madfish Bay. Our favourite swimming spot in Denmark WA for swimming and snorkelling 🏝 Hiking there, AND back! we’ve worked up an appetite…
So we refresh and refuel at Boston Brewery (Boston Brewing Co), fast becoming a favourite of ours for their extensive range of beers on tap, epic food (everything is delicious) and regular live music. Can’t beat it.
Exploring Denmark through the lens of a local (thanks Mark!) has been a dream, plus it’s been nice to escape Van life for a while, stretch out on a couch, have access to running waters and powerful showers. Bliss.
Next stop, we’re back caravanning Australia heading to Albany, Esperance WA, then back up the coast to explore the places that we missed on our way down. We swim with sea lions, whale sharks in Exmouth and tackle some of Australia’s best hiking in Karijini National Park.
