Good review with the details of what the board has. You are the first review that I was able to find that showed and explain where the blade runs and that it does not run on the plastic insert, but instead inside the channel space between both plastics of the board. Thank you

I close my ruler with the blade down when I am scoring, it fits perfectly at either ends.
