The little bits along the edge of your paper, after cutting, is happening because your blade is dull. You'll need to replace your blade when you see that starting to happen. You might keep two blades handy. One for cutting thick paper and one for cutting light paper such as vellum. That way, the one stays sharper longer and you don't rip your thinner paper by using a dull blade. Great tutorial. Keep up the good work.

@@CraftyMax It doesn't take long to dull if you cut heavier materials. It took me awhile to figure that out myself. Just part of the learning process. You're doing great. You have a very calming voice and that is a good thing. Keep up the good job and happy crafting kiddo.

Can you try to cut the cardboard? Many people say the cutting tool is really bad to use…

I've never cut cardboard with it, but I don't think it would work. I have to say the cutting tool is only ok, after more use.
