I am surprised that you were in the process to adopt in China. My husband and I waited almost 10 years to adopt from China.

Congratulations! That was definitely a very hard and difficult decision you guys had to make. But I believe things happen for a reason. Maybe there's a girl in India that needed you more at this point. I really hope things will go smoothly from now on! I would definitely like to see more adoption updates! Also there really aren't that many adoption trip vlog series anywhere, so what I would really love to see is daily videos of your India trip whenever that's happening! Even if you upload them way after the trip, it would still be so wonderful to get to experience the entire trip with you guys! I think it would also give perspective on things, like how many days you actually spend in the country, what do you actually have to do in the country and when.

Hi, My family is from India as well, and I am so glad that you are adopting from India. There are many children who are in need, and I am so glad that you are doing this. Indians are very arm in nature, and I am sure your kid will grow up to be the best of both East and West. It was a piece of great news, and to be honest, it was great news I have heard in a long time. Thanks for sharing this with us. I hope you make great memories with your child.

Hi, Namastey, from India. Congratulations to both of you. May your positive energies lead the chaos theory towards a Happy beginning. Come to Bharat and enjoy the emotion-rich culture. you know, there are probably infinite emotions a person can feel and life is too short to experience all of them. I'm sure you're going to experience new emotions in India. Plus the process itself is very special. All the best for your journey. Enjoy the abstract painting of something white and black of yin-yang with a lot of colours.

Yes, it’s called India Adoption Information Interest Group. Once you are home study approved, you would then join the in-process group, which has a ton of great information!

Thanks for posting this video! I am curious to know - how is your adoption with India progressing? We have three kids and my wife and I are interested in international adoption. Based on your experience so far - would you recommend it?

Thanks for watching! We haven't posted an adoption update for a while because our India adoption was delayed for many months and China still has not resumed adoptions yet, so nothing has been happening. India changed it's entire system for how adoptions are processed so ours was delayed until the new system went into affect. My understanding is that now that this new system is in place, it will enable things to move much faster after you are matched with a child. We spent most of 2022 waiting with nothing happening but we are hoping things will move quickly after we are matched with a child in 2023 because of the way the new process operates.

Hearing travel is opening again is the first bit of hope we've had in two years for our China adoption. Unfortunately, even though they are reopening travel, they have not acknowledged anything about resuming adoptions or allowing families matched with children prior to COVID to get their children. Please continue to pray for this!

Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting. There are many ways to adopt and each person who is called to this has to choose what is right for their family. There are many reasons why we have chosen to go the international route (honestly, too many to list here in one comment). A few of the reasons we have chosen to go the international route include differences in the ways orphaned children are handled in different countries. Children who are placed in orphanages versus with families through foster care experience greater long term delays and it is important to have families that are willing to remove them from institutions as soon as possible. We also value diversity and wanted our family to reflect that. As I mentioned, these are just a few of the reasons we opted to go the international route. If you are interested in learning more, we answer this question in detail in our first adoption vlog, which you can find here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n56hfcSX2q3DcmQ.html
