This time, I covered "We're All Alone" from the album "WIZARD OF OZONE - Makoto Ozone's Best Selection" by jazz pianist, Makoto Ozone, whom I have great respect for.
I fell in love with it, when I first heard this song on CD, I thought, "I definitely want to play!" I tried to find sheet music for it, as soon as possible, but it was hard to get, so I finally decided to copy it by ear...
Mr. Ozone's arrangement is bluesy, but also very elegant! and so beautiful that, at the risk of sounding arrogant, I wanted to figure out the secret of its beauty as much as possible, so I first tried to copy it perfectly as much as possible .
(But there are still a few places where it's a little bit different... )
But it was a great experience and learning experience for me to try to copy it by ear a jazz song for the first time. I still have a lot of challenges to do, both in my performance and editing, but I would like to output them once here.
It's a great song that I want to continue to play for years to come .
If you love this song, want to be healed by the sound of piano, or want to copy this song by ear... I'd be happy if I can be of help to anyone, even if it's just a little!
