Guys, we can so, so relate to this in every way, from the devastating impact on mental health through to the withdrawal from the whole community and I think the latter just heightened the former. That's why we haven't been around... ok, that's why I, Gary haven't been around. Ali was always a (often cringing) passenger in my social media journey. It became such an issue that I actually withdrew pretty much from everything I loved. I sold my shares in the radio station, let my music blog that I had worked hard for years to promote just grind to a halt and then finally disappear. Stopped playing and even listening to music and just withdrew from the caravan blog totally. I think that for me was a big mistake. I think the interaction with everyone I had got to know over such a shortish space of time was invaluable, then the lack of it just left a void. To add to the stress, our youngest daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 220 miles away in the midst of lockdown. It would be 3 months before we saw him. We have still only seen him 4 times, one of those being over xmas when we joined the Liberate Londoners army and rushed down to London to get them out before Bozo locked them down in Tier 4. He is now 1. We have watched him grow through a tv and mobile screen. Then Ali's mum had a series of heart attacks and was in hospital for quite a while. On a positive note, we bought a campervan, managed to escape once in November, sold our caravan (in that order) and even considered moving abroad. Dreaming of better times became an obsession. Realising those dreams has been a frustrating failure. It's been brutal. Anyway, hope that has cheered you up. Missed you guys a lot. We have been watching your posts and vlogs and, as with all the people we/I interacted with regularly, grew more and more embarrassed by my lethargy in maintaining any form of follow up in conversations. I am ashamed to say I have felt a big let down for a long time. It's probably wrong to say but I actually felt some comfort in knowing you also struggled with the whole posting bit. It ate away at me that I wasn't posting until it became the norm and I stopped caring... but didn't stop caring deep down. Anyway, thanks for posting this. Meant more than you could have ever imagined it would. Well to us anyway. Genuinely hope we see you out there one day soon. Gary and Ali (temporarily lost)

Things definitely bad if it’s all got to the chit chats, what a let down the Xmas palaver turned into instead of a much needed break :( Hopefully this can all be a distant memory soon, in the meantime take care both and it’s wonderful to see you.

Hi Aaron & Vicky, nice to see you and get a catch up. I think a lot of people’s mental health has suffered at some point during the past 12 months. I found having nothing to look forward to difficult. I was shielding do not shopping even. However we have now made a booking for the end of September and I feel so excited. As we get past April 12th we may start booking up more stuff. We would like to meet up with you guys and Trev and Sue from Poshcats so maybe we can sort something in a couple of months. 👍🏻 xx

Welcome back! Oh no, that Christmas trip sounds like a nightmare. I wouldn't just want to stop vlogging, I'd want to stop caravanning as well! Just do videos when you want to, I go through times when I can't be bothered. As you say, it's not a job, we enjoying watching them, so you do them when and if you want to. Things will improve and we'll all be on the road at some point soon. Yes, it's true, we really don't read the instructions do we :-) Good to see you both again! Graham

I’ve only recently started watching your videos and must say I think they are great you both seem really down to earth and just generally amusing. Christmas was definitely a rough time for all I did consider selling our tourer and static due to the costs of running the static but I couldn’t bring myself to do it so I started my own Twitter page recently @caravanmatters just for abit of fun and I have a slight addiction to gadgets
